I don't know, but I love looking at profiles of bands where there's a continious straight full-length list of albums. No compilations, singles or EP's.
Perhaps only a demo, or EP or something similar in the very beginning. How many bands are there like that, that haven't just released ONE full length?

I can't really come up with any myself... Vintersorg is basically like that, aswell as Bal-Sagoth, and Darkthrone had it going in the 90's.

I know I've seen some like that as well as the rest of us probably. Let me check.

The Devin Townsend Project will have 4 in a row, but that's not too exciting and it's intentional. Ki, Addicted, Deconstruct and the last one I think will be called Ghost.

The only one I can think of that has only full-lengths is Benighted (Fra) at the number of 5!
http://metal-archives.com/band.php?id=3752

There are many bands, though, who released just a demo prior to the albums. Carnival in Coal comes to mind.

Senmuth, perhaps? Even though he's released a few singles and compilations, he's got some quite impressive continuous lists of full lenghts.

They/he released more full lengths in a row without any interruptions compared to most other bands anyway. ;)

Kalmah has a demo, but after that it's nothing but full-lengths.

Chastain, with the exception of two demos, have nothing but full-lengths. No EP's, no compilations, no live albums... two demos and 8 full-lengths. I wonder how a band manages to release 8 full-lengths, and still remain so unknown... I've never heard anyone talk of them. In fact, hadn't Hammerfall covered them I wouldn't know about them either!

Stupid link thingy... how do I get it to go directly to a band's page?

Don't browse with frames and you'll get the link.

Catamenia had a string of six consecutive full length albums between 1999 and 2006. If you're not counting DVDs then it's seven (soon to be eight I think).

Akercocke are currently on five consecutive studio albums after one demo.

9 albums in 2005 alone!? Geez, did he release enough albums?

I wonder how he managed to go through all of 2008 without releasing anything.

12 in a row, though I have absolutely no idea how they sound and how many releases are missing.

6 in a row, same here.

Damn pointless compilations.

I wonder how he managed to release a best of / compilation before releasing ANY material.

Fixed for probability... What is so humorous about this guy is that he is the only guy in all his own bands. He's like his own metal scene. I envision him as one of those serial killers who creates their own perfect world in their mind; he is doing it with music though.

lol "he is his own metal scene." That makes me laugh and I'm not sure why. How does he even have the time to do them all. He just pumps out album after album after album, etc...

You mean the URL on the band page? Just move your cursor next to the rectangular box that contains the keyword search, browse links, etc. Then right click on it and go down to the option that says "This Frame" and click "show only this frame". If you forget how to do this just in the future remember the URL: http://www.metal-archives.com/menu.php

I know I can link directly to the page if the band-ID and everything shows up in the URL-field on the band's page, but that's the problem - it doesn't, and I just can't figure out how to get it to.

^
- If you search the band's name and several bands are listed, open the page you want in a new window or tab.
- With both menu and band page select to show only the band page frame.
- Open an album page / other band's page in the lineup in a new tab and return.

I believe Opeth qualifies.

Looking at the amount of DVDs and singles, I'd say Opeth really really don't.

Why the shit would Opeth qualify? I can't really think of any that haven't been mentioned. Korpiklaani had a four album streak until a single in 2008. Actually, a six album streak if you count their two full lengths under the name Shaman.

Yea, for their first 4 albums, then come the singles. 7 out of 10 of the singles listed on their page were released through Roadrunner Records. That's ridiculous, since they've only put out 2 albums with RR.

Amon Amarth and Unleashed have a more consistent string of albums, with nothing more than a couple of releases by their record labels in between.

I think Enslaved are worth a mention. They had that split with Satyricon but the Enslaved side is just a previously released demo. There are also a couple of DVD's which hardly count, in my opinion, which gives them pretty much a streak of full-lengths free of singles, EP's and splits with new material between 1994 and 2008.

Only 3 albums in, but Darkspace seem to be headed that route.

EDIT: Also, Umbrtka have 14 full-lengths, broken up only by one compilation.

What''s up with those bands... they go for it, and destroy it with one compilation!

I like the way Nyktalgia is headed, although with them it's only two full-lengths, but absolutely nothing else.

I thought they had broken up first, but then I realized it was Arcturus that had.
