Did these sell out last year? If so, how long did it take?

I dont think they did but I remember them saying that they were low(probably a ploy) but even if they did I know it wasnt until the last few days before the fest. Although, I dont think I would measure the way this years is going to sell compared to past years because quite frankly, this is easily the best line up they've ever had and I really think theres going to be a huge increase in the speed of sales. I plan on getting my asap just in case.

They were $115 last year, and I can't really imagine the price going up significantly. I'll be buying mine the first day they go on sale though, which is Thursday, October 1st, for those unaware.

Next band announcements on Monday, October 5th!

Hot damn, that's the day I get paid. Timing couldn't be more perfect!

I haven't checked - is it at the Sonar again this year? It only takes me about 20 minutes to get there.

Sorry, but odds are these are going to sell out before November. They've been hyping this show this far in advance with the expectation to sell the passes ASAP.

That said, I'M FUCKING GOING THIS YEAR. I'm going to make it my graduation gift to myself: the trip out to Maryland, hotel fare, and the concert passes. This show just looks too amazing to pass up.

May be a stupid question, but for O/S buyers, are the tickets mailed out to you, or does your name go on a door list of somesort?

$130

I don't know why they decided to start selling them two days before the scheduled on-sale date, but whatever, I ordered mine!

They sold out but it took a while. I remember it taking a few months. I imagine they will probably go faster this year because the of the lineup.

I will certainly be going for 2010. Especially to see Autopsy and Gorod, but I don't know if I need to get a 3 day pass...hrm... I hope both those bands play on the same day.

I went on Saturday for 2009 to see Pig Destroyer, Napalm Death and Bolt Thrower :D.

the reason i got a 3 day pass, is because i live nowhere near maryland. i'm making the trip worth it, and i want to go all 3 days, plus check out baltimore a bit. it'll be my first MDF and my first trip up north.

Ticket bought! Looking forward to doing Midwest Fuckfest, Maryland Deathfest then Central Illinois Metalfest next year!

Same, ill be checking in and seeing how the union is recovering down on the docks, slamming down some brews with McNulty and Bunk, and steering clear of "Hamsterdam".

Just got two, one for me and one for the brother. My whole family is making a vacation out of it which means I get free transportation to Baltimore and the venue itself, and maybe free housing. That means more money for merch! Nothing like a three day concert to pop the brother's metal concert cherry. There couldn't be a better lineup for the situation.

I should not wait this time. It was a hassle getting one last time having to wait for them to get additional passes... even though I could have just bought one at the fucking door.

"The following bands have recently been confirmed for MDF 2010:

Sodom (Germany)
Watain (Sweden)
Captain Cleanoff (Australia)
Capitalist Casualties
Magrudergrind
Obliteration (Norway)
Sulaco
Putrescence (Canada)
Fang
Verbal Abuse

We plan on announcing some more bands sometime next week. After that, only 1 or 2 bands will be announced in December as that will be the earliest they can be announced."

already 8X better than MDFVII, and the lineup isn't even close to being done.

Beat me to it. But yes, nothing is surprising me at this point. The line up is just absolutely ridiculous and stacked from top to bottom with great acts with an absurd amount of which being good enough to headline. I cannot fucking wait.

Fuck yeah, Wacken looks like pixie dust compared to this line-up. Necrophobic, Gorod, Sodom, Watain... Aaahhh!
It's a shame I won't be able to make it, though.

Between Melechesh, Pentagram, Gorguts, and now Sodom, I'm pretty sure MDF is capable of getting ANY DAMN BAND IN THE WORLD THEY WANT.

I figure it's only a matter of time before they announce Morbid Angel and Immortal.

It's weird seeing Verbal Abuse on there.

So good when they were a punk band. Their crossover stuff is terrible.

I'd pay $100 just to see them play "Just An American Band" all the way through.

I paid every bit of about 115, plus the extra for some tax and the Ghoul pre-show. And I'm attempting to go once again.
