Hey guys,
I just got note of Screamfest 2009 on this upcoming NYE.

Screamfest, a 2 day festival with 20 bands due to take place at the Enmore Theatre on New Year's Eve '09 and New Year's Day '10. Bands set to appear include Cynic, Dark Funeral, Destruction, Destroyer 666, Edguy, Ensiferum, Rotting Christ, Sonata Arctica, Spawn Of Possession, Darker Half, Synperium, Eye of the Enemy, Black Majesty, The Amenta, Universum, Killrazer and more!

Some killer damn bands!

What do you think of it?

Damn, that's a very formidable line-up! I would very much love to go, but there's a possibility that I'll be working on New Year's Day, anyway.

It's really too far in the future to tell, but it'd be awesome if I could go.

I didn't know that shows this awesome happened in Sydney. I am so there. If for no other reason, than to see D666 live.

Edit: I just realised that tickets are nearly $200. Now I'm not all that sure if I will go. That's a significant amount of moolah.

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed. If this was in Europe or the US, it would be half that price. Still, it costs more to get bands out to Australia than those places, so the price is somewhat understandable.

I'd definitely attend this if I were in Australia. Great line-up to spend your New Year's with.

If anyone is interested, I don't really have that many (if any apart from my girlfriend who would go and listens to extreme metal) friends so I will most likely road trip this. If you want to join in, it would be cheaper so just message in.

Even on New Years Day, and every other day, JetStar's lowest fare from Melbourne up to Sydney is $59. Gotta love JetStar.
