Another great band calls it quits. Oh well, time to revisit The Inexorable.

I guess they finally realized they were too boring.

I would happily trade the existence of Angelcorpse for just a fragment more hope of an Order from Chaos reunion.

"19/03/2009:
Subject: ORDER FROM CHAOS CD bootleg re-releases.
This is an official statement from the band Order From Chaos (Pete Helmkamp, Chuck Keller, Mike Miller). We would like to inform all our fans that any OFC re-releases associated with Shivarage (formerly Shivadarshana) are not licensed by the band and should be considered bootlegs.
Osmose Productions will be re-releasing all Order From Chaos materials ("Stillbirth Machine", "Dawn Bringer", "And I Saw Eternity/Plateau of Invincibility", "An Ending In Fire") in 2010 in conjunction with our re-union tour. "

Damn I hate to hear this. I actually really enjoyed "Of Lucifer and Lightning" and was hoping for another album.

Exterminate was good, but The Inexorable was so atrocious that I never bothered to check out Of Lucifer and Lightning. If their second to last album was any indication, they weren't going to put out any good material anyway, so I guess I'm okay with them splitting up.

You have a point. Probably the only track I really like from The Inexorable is Wolflust, the rest I can live without.

Wrong, Inexorable was amazing and the last album was a total let-down, so I pretty much wrote them off as dead-and-buried before this.

I know essentially jack shit about Angelcorpse. I saw Exterminate at the local used CD store, looked at the logo and decided that there was no way this band didn't play some vicious brand of metal. I was right. I don't listen to it very often, but it's pretty good. Haven't heard anything else though, judging from the comments here they weren't very good?

They're a bit like a second rate Morbid Angel rip off, although I can't really judge too much. I bought Of Lucifer And Lightning last year and it's fairly solid, nothing amazing, nothing terrible.

Everything they've done is great. Don't listen to these jackanapes.

Of Lucifer and Lightning actually took a few listens, but after a while I found it to be one of their best outputs.

No, they don't even have anything in common with Morbid Angel. They have their own style which is pretty unique and influential to other bands in the Death/Black genre. I do like some Angelcorpse from time to time, but not too often. Exterminate is a great album, The Inexorable is OK but not as good (it has its moments) and I have yet to listen to their last.

Yeah I think The_Boss must be aurally retarded to compare Angelcorpse to Morbid Angel, unless the newer albums are significantly different to the first one or two.

The Inexorable is one of the more painfully bland albums I own so I can't say this is a tragedy to me.
