Lunar Aurora - Sterna

In loving remembrance. The soundscapes on this particular song have that "wander through the forest for hours at night" vibe to it.

Beautiful chorus, Tim Aymar doesn't get enough credit as a singer. Hell, Pharaoh don't get enough credit as a band.

Tried listening to the new Neurosis earlier. Now I am listening to Fastkill: Bestial Thrashing Bulldozer. Excellent high-speed thrash int he vein of early Kreator and Slayer from Japan.

I approve ^ tremendous album. Onerous - Antipathy. Monstrous funeral doom from MA's own Syntek. That beautiful bastard.

Heh, one of my favorite Soundgarden songs ever. $76.00 to see them live in my area. Fortunately I've seen them many times in their heyday, but one more time would be nice. I'm just not sure how much older material they'll play. :)

Death - Empty Words

This album seems a bit clunky and over-long, but at the same time I like the style and I can really hear Chuck's passion for metal seeping through. The riffs and leads are excellent and the vocals, while they'd be horrible in any other context, work surprisingly well when delivered with such conviction and energy as they are here. This is technical and spazzy, but tied together with an old school ethic of songwriting recalling the best era of Metallica - maybe it's also the dry guitar tone that reminds me of them, too. Either way, good shit.
