Great tech-proggy instrumental album. The bass is loud and clear and sounds really awesome. All tracks are perfectly executed and it's great to hear these guys back on the scene after years of silence.
If anyone knows where I can get their debut self-titled, I hope you'll let me know!

Ok, MikeyC, I'll send some emails and let you know:

Agalloch - Faustian Echoes

This EP is really that good. What an amazing song. The samples (despite sounding a little cheesy and off-putting upon first listen) actually do fit quite well. Great musical imagining of the classic Goethe tale.

First listen of Enslaved's new one, RIITIIR

Pretty awesome. Reminds me more of Isa & Ruun.

And I swear they stole a vocal melody in "Materal" from the band Aarni.

lol I doubt it, but it is similar.

Ghoul - splatterthrash

I'll probably try that new riiiiiiter album later on today. I'm usually not into enslaved but i'm willing to keep an open mind to the band.

Arch/Matheos - Incense and Myrrh

After about 50 minutes of intense, exciting progressive metal, this album ends with a calm ballad. Odd, but it works.

not the best from the album, but a good song on it's own for sure.

Giving this one a chance because of Metantoine, never heard Tony Martin before, this is good, very good.

Freaking insomnia. I'm currently listening to my son snore on the baby monitor. My wife and dog are both snoring next to me too... It's odd, but I'm actually finding rhythm here.

This is a really great album! One of my favourite tech-death albums. It's got a brutal edge to it, but with some great vocals. Opener is so vicious. I would love to see them continue but it's been 5 years now and I wonder what's going on.

As long as the snoring is all in 23/16 time. ;)

Devolved - Technologies

Great debut album by these Aussies. Oblivion was a huge let-down but Reprisal, which is coming out next month, should be killer from what I've heard. Can't wait to hear it!

Electric Wizard - Weird Tales

All the caffeine in the world wont make me not-drowsy, it's cold, raining, and all in all a bit unpleasant, and listening to copious amounts of Electric Wizard seems to be the thing to do. Incidentally, what's going on in the word "weird" - Looks like I before E except after C is entirely broken.
