Watching that gave me the urge to discover them in the first place, which I intend to do when I get home.

Now listening to: Motorhead - Lost Johnny

Not listened to the début in about 6 months, and I'm enjoying it a lot more now than I was last time.

Candlemass - The Lights of Thebe, off Psalms for the Dead

To fly and to scheme, and harvest all dreams
That lead to love and holy wars
There's evil..... evil..... EVIL! EVIL IN MY MIND!!!

This is probably my favorite song off Psalms for the Dead, and that has quite a bit to do with the fact that it possesses one of the best (if kinda short) choruses ever written by Leif Edling.

Dissona - Avelia

Weird disjointed-sounding prog, but the riffs and vocals keep it grounded and sounding pretty solid. I like this alright - wonder if it'll grow on me.

Some guy walked into my work yesterday and came up to me and asked if I could check if we had any music from a certain band for him, I ask for the name and he says fuckin Psycroptic... it took me a second to register that a random dude I've never seen or met before in my town just asked if we had any music from an Australian technical death metal. That totally made my day, and subsequently caused me to go home and re-listen to Psycroptic's entire discography.. Just figured I'd share that with all of you.
Euphorinasia - Psycroptic

The Lord Weird Slough Feg - Headhunter

Classic stuff right here. Production's a little fuzzy, but with songs this awesome, it's hardly anything.

Trist - Posledni Cesta.
This is solid, but I wouldn't agree with the sentiment that they're the best DSBM band. The elephant vocals in parts are laughable.

Austere - Just For A Moment.

This is nice, warm sounding guitars contrasting with what you usually here from the genre, actually good drum mixing, and awesome vocals.

Adrift For Days - i. A Premonition ii. Void iii. The Aftermath

I checked these dudes out on a whim today and I am super impressed! Really awesome stoner/doom metal with an almost Acid Bath kind of vibe. I'm digging it.

yes they are not the best of the brutal/tech death i have been listening to lately they scratch the itch but others do it better, ive yet to find a brutal/tech death band i enjoy more than defeated sanity, tho i have been looking. defeated sanity just crushes it.

Finally got into this band, and they're much more symphonic that I expected.

Hangman's Hymn is like Teutonic thrash mixed with Wagner, but the symphonic-ness doesn't carry throughout their body of work when you get pre-HH. Great band all around, though; you're in for a treat.

I've been wondering when he'll announce/release new material, if he's still of the persuasion to do so, that is.

Enslaved - Ruun (Both the album and the title track are currently true)

I've overlooked Ruun somewhat. I'm really enjoying it now though, probably going to turn out to be one of my favourites.

Death - Leprosy

First time hearing this right now, and I'm blown away. Not quite as sophisticated as Human but it more than makes up for it in terms of downright amazing riffs. This'll probably replace Human for the title of favourite Death album. :D
