Darkspace - Dark Space III Oh, this is so good. I'm suffocating in space and loving the journey. Bring on IV - it's been 4 years already! |

oogboog wrote: Ulcerate - Ad Nauseam Nice. I saw these guys last night and they are flawless. Comatose Vigil - Not A Gleam Of Hope Some of my favourite funeral doom around. It's quite simplistic, but it works like a charm for me. I love listening to this and I can't imagine I'll ever get tired of it. |

Sodom - Agent Orange I plugged a hole in my collection, but I still need a few Sodom items, particularly Persecution Mania. I had the damn tour T-shirt of the album two decades ago, but I've never owned the album. |

Blut Aus Nord - Epitome VII It's late, I'm tired, and this repetitious, mechanical droning is lulling me into it's labyrinthine nuances. Not a terribly bad thing... |

It's not their best album but I think it shows their style in its full, uncensored and quirky glory. As for Novembers Doom, try The Pale Haunt Departure, dude; that album is awesome. Helloween - Pleasure Drone |

Dream Theater - Learning to Live This live version doesn't have the awesome fade out that I'm used to but the more aggressive vocal approach James is going for here is something that I miss in the studio version. I love the emotional intensity that starts around 6:30 and gets released at the end. Probably the best thing Dream Theater ever came up. |

Empyreal wrote: As for Novembers Doom, try The Pale Haunt Departure, dude; that album is awesome. I already did. I grabbed 'em all. Novembers Doom - What Could Have Been Considering they got Anneke to do vocals for this pretty mediocre song, the title is quite apt. |

Novembers Doom - Of Age and Origin - Part 2: A Day of Joy I think I figured out why I like their later albums more. They sound almost exactly like Anathema. I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but my brain says it's the latter. |

Folkemon_ wrote: Nightwish – The Pharaoh Sails To Orion THE greatest nightwish song. Pretty much. Oceanborn is still one of my favorite power metal albums of that era I have to say. What did you think of Imaginaerum? I was kind of indifferent to it for the most part, seems like they are not gonna get away from the bloated orchestral side of the last few for a while. I did appreciate the attempt at more experimentation though, even though a lot of those didn't work completely. Riot - Fall Before Me I was so anticipating this album to come out, and when it did I remember thinking it didn't quite live up to expectations, but listening back I think it's one of Riot's best. I heard that Mike Flyntz wrote a lot of the guitars on this album, so maybe this upcoming one without Mark will still be good. |

Merzbow - Worms Plastic Earthbound. Getting into this is proving to be the most difficult musical endeavour I've ever embarked upon. Simply impenetrable, but inspiring. Also that album cover is an eye-fuck. |

Thergothon – Everlasting I havent heard Imaginaerum, i just cant listen to a Nightwish with no Tarja and not to mention i think their new stuff is decent but awful when compared to the first 3 albums. |
