In Vain - Floating on the Murmuring Tide

I enjoy the sax work on this album, and this song in particular works well.

Celtic Frost - I won't Dance

I hate this song so much. Not because it's bad, but because I can't stop thinking about that stupid chorus. All day, I was in a meeting and that chorus "duet" was playing in an infinite loop in my head.

I'd say around the same time we get The Winds of Winter and Half-Life 3.

Halford - Crucible

The remastered and remixed version. Honestly - sounds MUCH better than the original.

Bad Religion - Suffer

It's like a quickie. Amazing but over so fast.

AC/DC - High Voltage

Oh my god... I have been obsessed with rock and metal music for 16 years now. And I have only now discovered AC/DC. What the fuck have I been doing with my life? I'm honestly a bit blown away by how much I'm enjoying them.

Listening through Pale Communion now. Enjoyable.

That's pretty insane... haha

NP: David Lee Roth - Eat Em And Smile. Because now I'm on a Roth kick.

Revenge discography
I heard these guys (power trio version) open for Mayhem and finally something clicked and I got into it.
I had, several years ago, heard them in support for Deicide/Amon Amarth/Behemoth. They were a fivesome then(I think; I was already pretty drunk) and feat. the bassist Pete from Angelcorpse. I mostly remember that show because Vehemence kicked things off and tore it up.

If you have the High Voltage album and want to go chronologically, skip Dirty Deeds and get Let There Be Rock next.

If you aren't going chronologically, get Let There Be Rock next anyway.

Bathory - The Messenger

Goddamn this album is so good. Really conjures up images of a beautiful, snow covered mountain surrounded by lakes and forests. Such a melodic and epic album.

I would've loved to see this band as they were like 15 years ago when the live lineup was J Read, Vermin, and Helmkamp on bass and lead vox. I think I like their first album the best and they kinda went downhill from there.

NP: Suffering Hour- In Passing Ascension

This album sounds like it should be lumped in with the Icelandic extreme metal scene but can't because the band is from the US. Ironically, I think this is better than a few albums that are from Iceland.

Cro-Mags - Best Wishes

Some of these riffs sound CRUSHING! Neo-thrash bands should take notice.

Now playing: Hell by Portrait from the 2008 album.

It's awsome! Nice vocal technique, thundering in your face riffs, fast rhythm and good old school sounding drums.

Beyond the Black - Hysteria

Listening to some new stuff. This song's pretty okay, but I'm still leery considering the members are all new after the mass booting.

Beyond the Black - Heart of the Hurricane

Puuuuuke. This song sucks my ass AND balls.

Helion Prime - Urth

This album has been hot garbage...until now. This song kicks ass!

Black Sabbath - The Shining

It was about time to get familiar with 'The Eternal Idol'. Works in this household, at least. Less dark than 'Headless Cross', but no less catchy and heavy.

Manilla Road - Triumvirate

These old epics on this album are seriously out of this world. God damn. It's like being lost in some kind of sonic ocean. Amazingly trippy.

Iron Maiden - When the Wild Wind Blows

Would like to put this on endless repeat now. Not at all convinced with The Final Frontier, but this is the last REALLY GREAT song Maiden has made. Quite moving really. Only they can do this kind of stuff this well. And I'm enjoying the story a lot too. Maybe the book and the movie this is based on are worth checking out.

This should've been titled "Shot in the Mass". What a wasted opportunity.

Agreed. The solo also smoked any bit of guitarwork from that album too.

Hypocrisy- Penetralia

Vicious classic underrated death metal!

When chilean bands come and play in your town, it can be quite burning! AhAh

SADISM is a death metal band that can sound very old school, close to the early thrashing genre,
or closer to the 90's like Morbid Angel.
Very cool gig!

I agree. It almost sounds like pop rock. Especially on the 'fools again' part.
