Man, what the hell do people like about this velvet underground crap? The vocalist is practically talking in time to the music. It's the same cords over and over again in this song "I'm waiting for the man." ... Oh wow Venus in furs is actually really interesting... I got nothing to say about the rest of this album. I think I'm gonna listen to this again. I love when music doesn't make sense the first time and then makes sense eventually.

Now playing: Slayer - Seasons in the abyss

Heresiarch - Obsecrating The Global Holocaust

Fucking face-shreddingly HEAVY black/death madness. Crushing, crushing tar pit insanity. Holy shit this is great stuff.

The Velvet Underground is some of the worst, most annoying talentless bullshit ever. Truly a product of the drug-addled time, I suppose.

Septic Flesh - Mystic Places of Dawn

This is really cool. The murky underwater production, the arcane melodies, the weird songwriting...it's good.

Throes Of Dawn - Binding Of The Spirit

And here I was thinking that Pakkasherra was an inaccessible album due to its monstrous amount of detail and twisted prog leanings. Suddenly I play their second album and I'm hit by this medieval atmosphere filled with almost baroque sounding keyboards and sprinkles of gothic leanings on top of the already peculiar mix of prog and black. Binding Of The Spirit goes even further down this path and is possibly their most mature work with a beautiful sense of melody.

It's good to have friend who make you listen to stuff you'd otherwise never lay your ears upon. :nods:

God I love that album. Even the eight minute synth track "Mythos" is wonderful, eight minutes of primitive, beautiful bliss. :)

Definitely my favourite from the album.

I love me some speed-metal in the early afternoon, while I swear at a 3000 word report until it makes sense.

Throes Of Dawn - Dreams Of The Black Earth

Wakey wakey, rise and shine. Time to go back to my binge on the band's first three studio albums. Marvellous stuff that is unlike any band I've ever heard and a truly unique listening experience.

Morpheus - Son of hypnos

This album is kinda weird...some cool riffs here and there but the subpar vocals and the borderline production make it difficult to enjoy...

Spirit of Talk Talk (tribute cover album) -After the Flood

These are some dumbfoundingly beautiful reworkings of classic Talk Talk songs. Color me impressed.
