Degial - Death's Striking Wings

I decided to give this another try but it still isn't clicking with me.

Black Sabbath - Never Say Die!
Kula Shaker - K

And now I'm listening to Anti-Depressive Delivery - Chain Of Foods

A masterpiece of prog rock.

"Alberich" by Klaus Schulze, live in the Rheingold show.

This is the opener of his set, and it's fucking dreamy. I listened to the whole thing and Lisa Gerrard does a few bits of singing, but not in this piece, yet this piece is still my favorite from this show.

Mitochondria - Antinumerology 7"

Excellent progression from the band after their last LP, still have those killer catchy riffs with such a strange atmosphere, the thing that bothered me about Parasignoses was they were using tempo changes almost too much, these three songs are excellent, although the 2nd side is much better imo.

Nice!

Droni from (2013) Progenie Terrestre Pura - U.M.A.
Nice at first listen. It was something like too much futuristic and progressive at first but now I found some harshness here.

Nargaroth - Seven Tears are Flowing into the River

Very cool song. Another proof that songs can be as repetetive as they want, as long as the content is solid. It just never gets boring, and the melody is very emotional and powerful. I definitely hear Darkthrone (Transilvanian Hunger) and early Burzum influences.

Battlecross - Push Pull Destroy

I'm not sure what this is, and I can't say I particularly care for it, personally. Probably Metal Blade's attempt to back a similar but more lucrative horse to Lazarus A.D.

You really should. FNM's best, in my book.

Callisto - Noir

Love the sax on this great album. One of the better ones from these types of bands, I think.

Dude, it's a fantastic album. Glad someone else is enjoying it on here. It's my favorite album at the moment and probably of the year. Not one bad song on there.

Check out Ghost Atlas, too, if you want a little extra from the guitarist / singer.

Convulse - World Without God

Kind of a lame album, honestly. Some pretty dull riffwork, shitty leads, not much feeling to be found in the music. It's okay, I guess, but I can't really see why anyone would get excited about this.

I had recently seen it on someones top 10 or whatever and the name/record name caught my eye so it was a blind discovery. Hell, a pretty amazing one at that might I say. I'll keep them in mind. Much appreciated.

Meat Puppets - Plateau

Man, this whole album is awesome. Abandoning their hardcore roots is the best thing that they ever could have done for themselves. Didn't think they made a great hardcore band anyway.

This album is grows more enjoyable with each listen...

"Then he died... others were made prisoners, the victors stood as gods over a kingdom of rats." Anyone know if this a sample, and if so, where from?

Horna - Saastainen Kaste

The riffs on this song are some of the best Horna ever wrote. I've listened to this song so many times I've lost count and I just love it; it's so effective in it's simplicity. The groove in the main riff is undeniably awesome.

Pretty cool album, it's lost some of the old school charm that their debut album had though.

Almah - Zombies Dictator

This is..."interesting". Picture, if you will, a mad doctor who staples Lamb Of God verses onto an Angra chorus, and that's this song in a nutshell. It's as remarkably jarring as it sounds, and is symptomatic of how artistically-confused the Motion album feels like as a whole. That said, I can't deny that it's a catchy chorus.

Pain Of Salvation - Iter Impius

My main criticism of the BE album is that parts of it get so swallowed up by the weighty concept that Daniel sort of eased up on making songs that are memorable to my ears. Not so with this song, though, which serves as the emotional climax of the record. It's a moody, deeply affecting slab of prog-rock excellence. If the rest of the album had been this focused, I'd probably enjoy the whole experience a lot more.

Bruce Dickinson - Silver Wings

This kicks ass. It's only available on his Greatest Hits, but plays out like a natural successor to Aces High. Ridiculously catchy without ever losing its edge.

Recently listened to those two songs again for the first time in awhile. Silver Wings is fucking spectacular and one of Bruce's all-time finest songs where as Broken is....Bruce doing nu-metal, complete with the goddamn Last Resort/Genghis Khan riff. I was shocked at how bad I discovered it to be.

Dio- We Rock

Really wish they didn't fade this song out. Always liked the line "it's really all the same, with just a different name."
