Abominable Putridity - Letting Them Fall

Giving this a spin for the first time in a while, I enjoy it a lot more than I remembered.

Judas Priest - Fuel for Life tour

Watching this random in YouTube. This is one tour I would've loved to be part of. The songs, the stage show, Halford, the guitarists' moves... Fucking KK Downing's sunglasses. Totally great!

The praise is deserved.

Excellent old-school thrash of the Bay Area variety from Chile. 9/10

I'm genuinely impressed.

Burzum - Ea, Lords of the Deeps (currently on this song)

I'm listening to the self-titled Burzum album. The vocals are incredible on this release.

Defloration - Dripping With Blood

Solid Suffocation worship filtered through a Euro death lens. Not bad, not bad at all.

Mystic Forest - Green Hell

<3 this album, and adore Stefan's talent, but - all due respect - the fast piano parts sounds programmed. They probably aren't but it sure sounds like it. Killer album, regardless.

Heavier than the San Andreas fault! Can't believe it took me so long to get to this band.

Paradise Lost - Faith Divides Us, Death Unites Us

First song by them I ever heard when the album came out nine years ago. Somehow it took me that long to really delve into their back catalog as well.

Aepoch - Burn them at the stakes

this is my favorite album so far this year. It might not be perfect, it might not reach the heights of other releases, but I just connected to it and cannot stop listening.

this guys are talented, certainly a band to keep following and I expect them to become one of the top names of tech/prog death metal in the future

You're kidding me. It was the first song I ever heard from them too!

Edge of Sanity - Crimson

It would be pretty hard to write a song of this length and possibly have it be any better.

Helloween- Mission Motherland

In spite of this, it just occurred to me what I think is so weird about The Departed (The Sun is Going Down): From a rhythm perspective, it sounds a lot like Cult of Personality.

Accidentally put this on a wrong topic:

Ghost - Meliora

Eagerly waiting for the new album. It's going to be all satanic bubblegum hard rock, but so so catchy.

Choking Victim - No Gods / No Manager
Almost Perfect.

Wolves in the Throne Room - Diadem of 12 Stars
not good, imo

Das Ich - Die Propheten
Thanks, Varg..

Deduction of a Miscalculation - 2018 Fall of Venus - 02 Nile into Blood

Really strange death metal I just came across. Kinda has an "outsider music" quality to it. Or is it just bad? Someone help me out here.

It's really weird. It had been blacklisted on here for being "riffless," but I was able to get it unblocked and submitted based on that release. Funny. Maybe you should write a review on it.

Well, I've decided that I like it. If I ever develop the music knowledge, insight, and writing skill to write reviews, I'll give it a go.

Exodus - Shovel Headed Kill Machine.

An unfairly hated disc in Exodus' varied discography. The production is a little heavy to point of sounding plastic and artificial, but for the most part I like most of the tracks on this album. Hell, even Rob Dukes' voice isn't awful, especially in comparison to his personal stamps on the band's horrid next 3 albums. Not Tempo of the Damned-good, or even Blood In, Blood Out, but easily a happy 3rd place in Exodus' post-2000 studio output.

Speaking of blacklisting, why has no one added The Dark Element to the archives yet?

Carcass- Vomited Anal Tract

I've gotten rather used to the Reek of Putrefaction sound. Something I never thought would happen.

Black Sabbath - Dear Father

The best song on 13, and the perfect way to end their career.

Moonblood - Rehearsal 8 - Conquering the Ravenland
Song: Born to Live in the Shadow of Damnation

This song and the rest of the demo are probably going to be extremely raw. My opinion of the song right tells me that I will enjoy this demo very much.

Dødheimsgard - The Paramount Empire

Sounds nocturnal, but not in a trite sense of the word. Awesome.

Virgin Steele - Riderless Horse (Save Your Breathe)

This bluesy stuff is actually pretty cool. Just a shame the vocal lines are rather superfluous.

On Thorns I Lay - Aegean Sorrow

Discovered them recently, very good! Hoping there's some chorus pedal bits, though like in Orama.
