Hypocrisy - Paled Empty Sphere

So fucking majestic, like Richie Blackmore wrote an extreme metal ballad or something.

Manowar - Hail, Kill and Die

I like the riff on this one. When it came up on iTunes shuffle and I didn't know which artist it was yet, I never would've guessed it was Manowar.

Primordial - Imrama

Overall this is good album but there are so many tracks I didn't enjoy.

Von - Satanic Blood [demo]

This is bad, really bad. Don't purchase it if you wanted to collect rare demo(s).

Scythe - Creation of Wrath

My most fave track from the album. I like the simplistic opening riff which sounds heavier than most riffs out there.

Fortunately, they got even better with the next two ones ;)

Amon Amarth - The Last with Pagan Blood

Did Manowar wrote the lyrics? surprisingly good riffs here, the tremolo picked one in the chorus in particular

Nocturnal Rites - What's Killing Me

Dark, heavy power metal. They used to be a death metal band - I can hear that on here. Polished, but apocalyptic and dour in vibe/atmosphere. Great vocal-work.

Exodus- Chemi-Kill

Fucking spectacular! Wouldn't be out of place on Bonded By Blood.

Metal Church - Western Alliance

Sweet blazing speed metal that's clearly inspired by ''Freewheel Burning''. :headbang:

Sleep of the Angels is an underrated album from this mighty band.

PassCode - VIRTUAL - NINJA BOMBER

This is like a poppier and more quirky Blood Stain Child.Give this song (and album) a try if you are into that sort of thing.

Cradle Of Filth - Gothic Romance (Red Roses For The Devil's Whore)

This is a truly ambitious, daring band. I am attracted to that quality no matter what the genre is... it's what drives me to really be interested in music a lot of the time. Actually creepy orchestral bits, mounting, colossal guitars and spooky sounds throughout. Good for Halloween.

It's just surprising to me really.

Son House - Levee Camp Blues

Long blues drawl - needed something stripped down and folksy after all the metal the last few days.

Falconer - At The Jester's Ball

This is incredible actually - really sweet, classic metal-style guitar ownage. Been ages since I heard these guys... that was a mistake. Matthias Blad is awesome.

I just came across Ultima Ratio - Lord of the Dungeon and I think it's a quite impressive bm/ambient track. Also currently listening to Tsjuder's album "Kill for Satan". And as you can see, I like to put albums I recently listened to in my signature.

Not exactly sure what my favorite band is, but Agalloch have been among the contenders for years.

Agreed. Don't miss the follow-up Kenose EP - some of their most brilliant work is on that EP, and it isn't until Fas that they freak out and decide they've been too accessible. For that matter, don't miss Mass Grave Aesthetics. (I didn't really get into Diabolus Absconditus, apart from a couple sections.)

Bölzer - Roman Acupunture

Saw these guys live a few times during their demo/EP era, and have no desire to check out the full-length after the few bits I've heard...

Succumb - Destroyer II

Oh boy, this is some utterly rabid and unhinged death metal. Reminds me of Vorum's latest EP due to sheer mania.

King Diamond - Give Me Your Soul ...Please

Must say I like this album. Not as good as The Puppet Master of the recent ones, but good neverthless. Can't understand what's going in the story though. My poor English.

I've been interested in adding more Anathema to my line-up. Decided to give The Optimist a listen on YouTube.

So that's what's playing now, that whole album. So far, it's chill but that's what I was expecting from these guys. I may buy the album.

Sabbat - Torment in the Pentagram (from Evoke)

These guys are maybe the most consistent band I know of, now that Manilla Road has started to show signs of aging. I cannot WAIT to see how they follow up Sabbatrinity. I'm selfishly hoping there will be some guest-axe by Temis.

It's a very good album! I really like the things they explored with Close Your Eyes, and I'm really hoping to hear more things in that vein from them. Every time they change their style, there's a very vocal group of fans who feel betrayed by them, but I feel like the band is simply at its best when they go forward.
