Swallow the Sun - Hearts Wide Shut

I dunno...Swallow the Sun (as well as Daylight Dies) are just kinda okay. Nothin' bad, but nothin' great. I really wanna go back and listen to Saturnus again now.

NP: Astrofaes [Idea. Form. Essence..., 2007] - 4. And Swallowing the Foam of Fury in the Rage (01:46/07:55) {192 kbp/s}

It's like Ukrainian black metal...with St. Anger's loud trashcan snare, and Sarcófago's Engrish o_O

Evoken - Shades of Night Descending

Not digging these vocals at all, but the atmosphere is so damn rich that I can't turn it off.

I get the same feeling about Swallow the Sun. They're a good band, and Hope is their best one, but I tend to choose other bands for my doom fix these days.

7 H. Target - Fast-Slow Demolition

So good. I can't wait for 0.00 Apocalypse to come out! If they retain the kind of slamming metal they've got here, I will be very satisfied.

Yea, man if you're into Godflesh you must check Jesu out. It's quite different from Godflesh though, more mellow and elegant side of J.Broadrick.

And yea, new Orange Goblin kicks ass. It's in my top 10 this year.

My Top 10 of 2012 so far (12 actually)

NP: The Wandering Midget - Follow the Forest Lights

I think From the Meadows of Opium Dreams is going to make it to my final top 10 of the year. Brilliant output by the band.

I like Veil of Maya. :) One of the cooler -core bands out there, but all their albums are agonisingly short. They could easily add 10 more minutes to them and get some more ideas on them.

Beheaded - Never to Dawn

This is a strange one. Their first album on Unique Leader, and it's immediately noticeable. Their music is a lot more...well, Unique Leader-y. I thought of them as a Suffocation clone, and not a bad one at that, but this is going away from that direction. I understand that it's been 7 years and a change of labels since their last album, so a change is practically inevitable. Despite that, this is actually not bad. Still as crazy as they used to be, albeit with cleaner production, but it's cool. Needs more listens to sink in but I do like it. :)

Preproduction demo-2013

I think the tremolo picked parts a bit slowed down similar to the stuff off of Blood, at this point in time, well it just seems like Roman's voice is just a shell of itself.
