Supposedly, Sepultura is playing a show in these shores. They've been dead to me since the late '90s. I was just wondering what their set consists of these days so that I can decide if they're worth watching.

I think it is just Refuse/Resist and then they do a 50 minute tribal improv version of Ratamahatta.

It's basically Sepultura in name only. Don't expect any 1985-1990 stuff.

So they still play stuff from "Arise"? That might be bearable.

Their new album has been announced as well by the way. I prefer to think of Cavalera Conspiracy as Sepultura v2.0.

As bearable as it's going to get. It'll only make you long for the Cav Bros. even more though.

The last show I went (end of 2006) they play a lot of old songs, including Necromancer, Troops of Doom, a lot from Refuse and just 6/7 from the Derricks era.

Current Sepultura lineup > Cavelera Conspiracy

This is fact, Sepultura may make some pretty lame music but fuck, at least they have the decency to not fuck over Possessed. Fuck you Max, fuck you.

And yes, I said fuck a lot there.

Well, they did fuck over Hellhammer a couple of years ago... But you're right, the Possessed cover is atrocious.

Yes, but Igor was still with them at that point, so I can transfer my hatred over. :)

CC just reeks of a cheap cash in as well.
