I've noticed it as an interesting looking obscurity a few times, and your Isengard namesdrop sadly got my hopes up.

For 2 years I've been trying to indentify a power metal song labeled as "hammerfall - kamelot" ... which, of course, is just the names of two popular power metal bands. It's a kick-ass tune, if you ask me. Would love to know who the band is. Lyrics hunting has failed me.

The song:

Post subject:  "Remain-Anon" cassette-need help!

Hey, this isn't so much a song ID question but an album ID question. And before anybody asks I GOOGLED THE FUCK OUT OF IT and I didn't find shit.

I recently got this cassette at a garage sale called "Remain-Anon". It's very simple: White case with the band name, songs and a huge eye for the front graphic, Band name and songs (listed as "never gonna rock....missing you....rulers", dots included) on the side, Some really weird contact info on the back (all three songs are credited to either "j. sandoval", "j. sandoval e. stern" or "j. sandoval n. rivera", and there's a phone number for some woman named Misa Roach), And the cassette itself is a DIY Sony HF60 circa 1986. I'll post a picture if I can.

Listening to it, btw, I can safely say that it was probably intended as a rock album (although there are some metal-like parts in there). I'm guessing that this was either an extremely limited demo tape of a band that never got off the ground, or (most likely) a single (well, there's three songs on there but you know what I mean) of a band that never took off, with a copied cassette because the owner probably lost the original.

Again, I've looked all over for info on this thing and have had no luck. Anybody out there willing to help?

I downloaded a song as Haffard - De la Morte Noire, but it is not. the style is Haggard's, but the song is not on their discography. it begins with a powerful female choir, and it's about changing your ways andseeking thruth from the past. lwnght is over 6 minutes. what could it be?

Ok, so I got this youtube link for a band from m-a a couple of years ago. Around 2-3 years I think.
I can't find this band that was not metal but had blastbeats incorporated into some opera stuff.
No electrical guitars or anything just choir/duos with voice and fast doublebass. It was more like eurovision/power metal vocal sound style.
The video was in a black room with brownish tint color and it was simplistically, made with lights just on the drums and various singers which were both man and female from what I remember. I think all the members were wearing white but I might be wrong. They were like 4-6 members I think.
Thank you!

Here is a tricky one, in the movie Children Of The Corn, what is the name of the dark and gloomy girl 'orchestra' that sings (I think it maybe in the first part of the movie)?
I'd love to have the sample of it but it isn't on any soundtrack, anyone help?

I downloaded this on limewire, and I could not find anything about this song anywhere. After some time, this video showed up. Because there is no record of it anywhere, someone obviously created this fake mp3, which is pretty common. What I'd like to know what band this actually is. Sounds like doom metal.

The first band is Blut aus nord.
Song 1 is :Blut Aus Nord - Multi-dimentional opening on the essence of mysteries
Song 2 is: Blut Aus Nord - The astral gate of Ophräzon (A new age in Eternity)
These are in my folder I got long ago. It's unreleased material.

The third song sounds like Blut aus Nord as well but I can't find the title of the song. I listened to all the full lengths and none of the tracks that are 5:20 or close are like that. But I'm 99% sure it's Blut aus Nord.

Oh man I wish I could help you but that sounds like a Black Sabbath worship band. It's doom metal yes, but traditional doom is not my cup of tea. I don't even have the Candlemass discography otherwise I would've looked through songs. Yet I can't tell if it's even Candlemass because there are a lot of Black Sabbath worships/traditional doom sounding out there.

I've been wondering what song is at the beginning of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLCadvafTFo

It's a dark piano tune with some tortured screams in the background. Something tells me it is by some sort of suicidal black metal band.

Yes, though its not the piano on its own. That part is actually taken from the main theme from the movie "Phantasm"!

The song that begins at 2:43. I've been trying for months (almost years), to figure out what it is. I scavenged all of early Atrocity and it isn't anything they recorded. In the comments section some people are saying it's from an Alex Krull side project that never released jack shit. !!!??? WHAT!!?!?? WHY NOT?? Can't find anything on the archives from them except for other bands with the same name.

Corpus Christi or something.

Just scavenged a couple places and the song is from Alex Krull's long inactive band, Corpus Christi. The band never released any material, but the video is for a song of their called "Melissa" and it pisses me off that after all these years Krull never had the gonads to release any material from this band. They're not even listed next to Krull's name.

I came across this song a few years ago. I actually have a full album of this stuff -- this is the final track of the album. The album was labeled as Daudi Baldrs, by Burzum, but that doesn't seem very plausible. However, maybe the labeling wasn't a complete fluke - maybe there is some connection? All of the tracks are of similar length, with the same names, as the tracks of the synth album by Burzum.

This track claimed to be Moti Ragnarokum. I wonder what it really is.

Hi all. I have been going through my cassette collection, and found a couple of miscellaneous tapes of songs I recorded off the radio (Z-Rock and college radio) back in the mid- to late-80s. I have been able to identify every song but one, and it's a really cool song! Can anyone help me figure it out? It's driving me insane!

:brick:

One would think the title is "The Fall of the King", but no amount of searching for that or Googling the lyrics has returned a valid result. The singer sounds very familiar, so if someone can identify it, I'll probably end up feeling really really stupid, but I have been trying to figure this one out for quite a while, and I don't think I ever did know who this was by... Nothing else on the tape is newer than 1988, so that probably dates it to sometime before then. It's definitely 80s metal, and fairly heavy. I have transcribed the lyrics to the 1st verse and chorus.

The sky is filled with ashen smoke
The towers burn, the walls they crumble
The bodies lie about the fields
No one is left to win the battle

The people can't believe their eyes
The king has fallen, to see him die!
A time of mystery, a time of death
The evil one's comin' out from hell

The fall - the fall of the king
The fall - the fall of the king

Thanks for your help! Someone here's gotta recognize it!

In the film Black Metal Satanica they interview the dude from Shining. During said interview they play songs. One song wasn't Shining though. If you've seen the movie, they go from the interview to a song where you hear the vocalist scream "FIRE!!!"and it plays a really good black/doom song.

Does anyone know the song?

I know because I want that song too so bad! I have a huge music collection and the first band that I thought would compose this was Forgotten Tomb but I listened to their discography with no luck. I also listened to discographies of: Shining, Lifelover, Onskapt, Dissection but with no luck as well. I also listened to all the songs they list in the credits but it's not there!!
Even if you don't know the song if it reminds you of a band please do tell since I'm running out of sources where to look.

First of all I understood all the credit fonts and I listened to ALL the songs and it's not there. Pm me if you don't understand a particular song I'll tell you the title.
At 7:24 even though I can't understand what he is saying (the title), he is talking about a Christmas Songs CD. He says that the B side contains children singing and that's too much for him.

This is a strange one but I'm after a jazz sorta song I heard on the radio last year and it has been bugging me since.

It has no vocals and the song opens with two, dark acoustic guitar chords, repeats itself a fair bit and a saxophone comes in. From what I remember there are three instruments, sax, guitar and drums.

The whole ensemble is quite slow and dark and I vaguely remember the radio announcer saying it was 'a classic 1990's piece' but don't hold me wrong as I can barely even remember 3% of the song.

I'd love to close this coffin.

I've heard of Sepultura a million times, and for some reason I wrote them off as a sub-par groove act, but have not heard a song of theirs. I've checked out like four songs off Beneath The Remains, and just now a few tracks off Arise, and I've apparently been very mistaken, as Seputura kicks fucking ass.

It's not "The Hotheads - Slide Slide" either as far as I could tell from the few clips I heard. That's in a completely different scene.
