Post subject:  Unknown death metal song

Hello. I'd like help figuring out a song's name and what band plays it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWxtB1v_v_c&fmt=18

Ysterday a user on YouTube sent me a message asking me if I recognized it, but I don't. Maybe somebody here has listened to this band before and recognizes it. All the information I have about it is that this fragment was recorded on a Greek radio in 1996. Any help is welcome.

The main lead in Keep of Kalessins Eurovision song "The Dragontower" is 100% lifted from another song by another band, but I just can't flesh out what the original is. Fairly certain it's extreme-ish metal, something along the lines of Covenant or Moonspell or Catamenia I think, or maybe melodeath, and I'm fairly sure it's something relatively famous. Maybe one of you people can help me figure it out:

I saw this video on youtube quite a while back and I think it was metal, but it was 2 pretty long songs from some album that which played separatley was more of ambient sounds and beats and the other was more of a melodic style.

However, if they got played together on top of each other they became a totally different and obviously third song. Apparently they were released as separates, but intended to go on top of each other.

I have no idea what the band was called nor the songs, does anyone have any idea what this might have been, even if it was not metal?

The songs were pretty long aswell if I recall correctly.

Neurosis / Tribes of Neurot is two whole albums if i get it right, this was more like two songs from the same album if i recall correctly, thanks for tip though I need to look into that.

It is not the Inox stuff either, thanks for the effort though, really appreciate it.

The video that I saw is somewhere on youtube, but I can't find it, I just stumbled across it at some time watchinig videos from metal bands.
It exist on youtube in all three forms i.e song 1 song 2 and both mashed up.

Does anyone know about the first song on Sirius's Eclipse demo, if the symphonic part in the beginning is sampled from somewhere or their own original material? I swear I've heard it somewhere else before.

I actually have the exact same question about the intro to Obscenity's "Perversion Mankind" album.

Copied from FFA:

I keep hearing this musical theme in commercials, movies and shows.
It's just strings, fading in and out slowly, alternatively lower and higher and is usually played to signal tension and/or wonder.

After some research, I found this (from 1:05 to 1:15) which is the closest sounding yet.
And this which doesn't sound as close but predates the other one by 20 years.

Does anybody know more about it?

Ok, so I got this youtube link for a band from m-a a couple of years ago. Around 2-3 years I think.
I can't find this band that was not metal but had blastbeats incorporated into some opera stuff.
No electrical guitars or anything just choir/duos with voice and fast doublebass. It was more like eurovision/power metal vocal sound style.
The video was in a black room with brownish tint color and it was simplistically, made with lights just on the drums and various singers which were both man and female from what I remember. I think all the members were wearing white but I might be wrong. They were like 4-6 members I think.
Thank you!

It's Van Canto - The Mission
I've finally found it:

Where did you find that song or where do you have it from?
Also it doesn't sound like it's only 2 minutes but longer... notice the piano entering before it cuts.
Sounded like Orphaned Land at first and I checked all their songs with no luck. Your best bet is to use the Advanced band search and insert into the genre field: "Middle Eastern" or "Oriental", and check out the bands. There aren't many, and I actually skimmed through all of their myspace pages and couldn't find one that sounded like that song. Good luck.

Well, as I understand it's the part of the song and it has been used as a ringtone. Some people asked to find the performer's name on other forum.

That's not Orphaned Land for sure, but I think that this is the song of some mainstream band, because arrangement is really good.

I think that there's no chance to find it by using advanced search.
