Who knows of a non US black metal band I can't remember the correct name but I remember is something like Viratulet? It was really raw but still melodic.

somehow I get the feeling he wanted something other than that... :p

Spoiler: show

to be fair, they do seem like generic, non-descript patches... I think the red skull one is a punk band, but can't place it yet.

edit: NG's second post above was approved after I posted mine :)

Hehe... thought it wouldn't hurt to give him something to nibble on while he waited for the main course.

One guy started topic yesterday with that question:

Well, as the title says I'm trying to remember the name of a band that did some (I think black metal) album and one of the members has an alternate project where he did all the same album but with piano versions of the whole songs and I can't remember the names! I'd be very tnakful if you could help me.

So this Xytras - Passage. Great album sounds for me even better that Samael' original album.

What's the name of that new band that maybe in 2016 or 2015 did a green album which looked like it could've been Cirith Ungol?

EDIT:
Randomly stumbled upon it on the great interwebs. It was Visigoth

I can't believe I'm in a finding a song funk. For the past little while I've been trying to remember the song/album that has the ending of the original psycho movie in it. Norman bates talking in his mothers voice. "I'm not even going to swat that fly" and "I hope they are watching" it's not Mortician and can't remember if it's gore grind or a black metal album. All I know is I'm going nuts. Any help would be great

Does anyone know a song or possible album intro that samples the original psycho movie? Can't remember if it's black/death/or gore grind. It's the closing scene of the movie and it's not Mortician

Not sure of the band, but it sounds like relatively straightforward modern black metal. The uploader's a dick for not telling you the name of the band or track, though.

Any takers?

Basic band info:
Brutal/tech death band, the modern variety
Most likely from USA (NY perhaps?)
The band has been around for a while (think 90s)

Album details/artwork:
Last album was most likely released recently (2016 maybe but I'm not sure)
Artwork featured prominent use of yellowish hues &
A dude with an open third eye on his head with some vortex thing in his cupped palms along with a stream floating eyeballs on the side & other trippy shit that I don't remember
One of tracks had the dialogue "Open your mind (or life?)" x2 in a breathy tone

I hope that'll be enough to go around. Thanks in advance.

Typed in "Total Recall sample in brutal tech death song" & after some scrolling there it was. :-D

Dehumanized - Beyond the Mind
Here's the damn son of a bitch, I was pretty close wasn't I?

Image

This statement gave it away in the end:
"This song starts out with a sound clip from Total Recall and then following that a classic death metal guitar riff is played."

Thanks man, not knowing about this was frustrating me to no end!

Hi guys. This isn't a song, album, band but a poster/banner. I didn't want to create another topic for it. I hope you guys can help you ID it. I've seen Amon Amarth display this image sometimes at their live shows, and I've been wanting to get a poster of it. I know it exists cause I saw it in one of their music videos, signed by the band. Here it is:

alright, i've got one. i believe this is a fairly recent release, at least within the last 5 years. it's black metal but a little psychedelic i think? i THINK it originally came out on cassette. the cover art, from what i remember, had sort of an occult thing going on. i think there was a skull, and a mirror. and i am pretty sure the word "negative" is in the name. any ideas?

edit - just remembered! negative plane.

They're extremely fast (like Last Days of Humanity, 300+ bpm pretty much all the time fast), use a drum machine, blasphemous, brutal death metal, and pretty sure they have an album with cover art vaguely reminiscent of these Proclamation and Supremative albums, but straight-on:

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Proclamation/Messiah_of_Darkness_and_Impurity/178016
http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Supremative/Servitude_of_the_Impurity/379572

Really obscure, whoever it is and I want to say that they're from Spain (and it's not Carnivorous Voracity), but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

EDIT: It was Extirpation.

It sounds somewhat similar to Veilburner to me, but I cannot say for certain.

Hey, I really need your help to find a band I heard about 5 years ago. It was something like death metal or brutal death metal without guitar player; only bass, drums and really really deep gutturals. The cover of the album I heard had something like a caveman, a grotesque version of a caveman on it. I really cant remember its name; I only remember they played really deep, low and primitive death metal. Maybe their lyrics were about cavemen or prehistory... Well, if any of you knows a band like this I would like to check it! I am really interested in find that band Im talking about...

Halp identify this song pls

The band sounds Norwegian or Swedish, and it seems to be a demo from the era of '94 to '97, I could be wrong but I am going by what I hear.

Hello, got a tough one...

listened to a really nice song on YT yesterday and saved the link to get the song today but now it's deleted.
it started with clear vocals and transitioned to a growl at the chorus. The chrorus contained a very short phrase (3, 4 words) wich endend with the word "metal" and was repeated a couple of times.

Any guess?
Thank you.

Trying to remember a band I discovered/forgot lately. I think it was retro heavy/doom/rock thats been trending lately. Pretty sure it was a duo, two women. They were on the album cover together, a simple photo on a black background. I think they had a simple name like "Witch" or "Coven" something short like that. They definitely only had one album put out, and then broke up and reformed in a different band. Assuming they were either from Sweden or the US.

Looking for a USBM band called GARDH THURIAN from Memphis, TN.

I don't know if they ever put out a release but many years ago I discovered them I was 16 years old. I had maybe one mp3 file of theirs and loved it.
