Well, since I haven't gallivanted into the attic yet, I guess I'll toot my own horn a little and post up some of my own personal stuff I already had Photobucketed.

Aggressive Metal #5, April '88 - two issues/months before the name change to the more colorful Screams From The Gutter.

Gutterscream, I couldn't help noticing a mention of an album review of Blind Illusion on one of the covers (issue #8). Do you remember what your opinion on them was back in the day?

I am biased when it comes to Blind Illusion, but I really need to know. :)

The one (and only) sentence that says anything beyond my then-usual song-by-song ramblings goes "This is fluent thrash with class (excuse the cliche)". The review itself is quite horrid e.g. "..."Vengence is Mine" begins with a heavy riff and cool drum line. Double bass runs rampant in this song...". Echh. I know this is one of yer holy grails. Gotta love those albums that hit you just perfectly in the sweet spot.

Heh, times come and go, music changes, but the favourites stay. Blind Illusion indeed keeps hitting my sweet spot. Did you ever review Rigor Mortis back in the day, by any chance?

That 1984 Priest on the first page one deserves the caption "We're a heterosexual band".

Sure, got it for Christmas in '89 along with Morbid Angel's Altars. The zine was still monthly back then, so I'll have to go through each issue to find it. May take me a little while....

I still have all those Metal Forces in a box somewhere over at my parents house. I hope they are still there.

Well Nappy, I'll have to look a little harder for that Rigor Mortis review. I only have two of the twelve issues that came out in '90 handy. In other news...

Ballbuster #3 - 1997, USA. One I used to write for.

Descent #1 '94 - the dark love demon of one Stephen O'Malley (see Thorr's Hammer), once a subscriber of mine.
Image
Descent #2 '95
Image
Descent #3 '96 (the cover on this one's wild).
Image

Underground Empire #5 '91 - unfortunately for me it's entirely written in German.
Image
Underground Empire #7 '94 - a monster 198 pager. Again, I only get to look at pictures.
