Great news!
4 years later they have released the first single of the upcoming album, due to be released on October 11, 2024.
It didn't strike me immediately but it will grow.
It is really dark.

I liked the song. I'm always keen for new Oranssi Pazuzu, so I'll be impatiently waiting for the new album.

I'll be honest, the last Oranssi Pazuzu album I was really into was Valonielu. I feel they've gotten more abstract and avantgarde over the years, losing most of the metal in their sound. They used to have riffs, now it's more like textures. This new song is alright but it doesn't seem to signal an album that will grip me.

This message is fun because I only like their stuff after Valonielu.

I tend to agree with this. I think the last two have still been good, but I am much less inclined to re-listen to them, especially compared to the first two albums and their material from the split with Candy Cane. I still liked the new track, even if it's not super gripping.

Sounds like something from the Binding of Isaac soundtrack.

Been following Oranssi Pazuzu pretty much since the first album, and I feel like they've almost exclusively been getting better and better with each album (maybe except for Valonielu which was a bit of a step backwards).
Loved Värähtelijä, and the more experimental nature of Mestarin Kynsi was a great step in a new direction. Sounds like they're leaning even more into these influences with the new stuff, so I'm definitely hyped for it.

That new track was great. I love their specific style of electronic and industrial ambiance.

Sounds very promising.

If Nintendo release another Metroid, Oranssi Pazuzu should create the soundtrack.

I'm liking this new track better than most of their last album, I'm cautiously optimistic for this.
