Hey folks, I’m new the forum. Posting because I’m looking for something.
I’m wondering if any of you know anything about a tape called “Tree of the Sun / Blastula” that was recorded by Jason Newsted, Devin Townsend, Dale Crover, and Scott Reeder in 1995 at Newsted’s studio. From what I gather, the tape never had a wide release, but Jason would give out copies to friends and to people after shows. Neither the tape nor the band is listed on here or Discogs.
Information is scarce, but here’s some sources to prove its existence.

I’ve been trying to hunt down a copy of this tape for years with no luck. If anyone has any information, leads, or even a copy that they’re willing to sell, that would be awesome. Thanks.

Can’t say I ever heard of this Newsted project. It’s sad how all the projects he tried starting up in the nineties got snuffed out so callously by the Metallica camp
