Howsaboutthatthen?

It's fucking good, too! Tim Baker doesn't age and the riffs JAM (much like the secondbase mobile, they're wicked).

Second edit: that was nuts! How many good ideas can you fit in an 8 minute song? That truly justified its length... fuck off nowadays Steve Harris, this is how you write long songs.

Tim Baker has definitely aged, and I think it has actually treated him quite well as he can't go full over-the-top pitchy, which brings out another element in his voice. I like what the band is doing - it's familiar, but they are doing it well. Looking forward to what they do next.

Dude... finally, Cirith Ungol I can dig into! Baker's vocals have always been a red line for me, as much as I adored the instrumental part of the music.

But this is glorious. :D

Sounds like ancient heavy metal. Wouldn't have thought I would witness a new CU album in my day and age, but now it must be close. Love those lead guitars.

You think so? If they had told me that the vocals were recorded right after Paradise Lost, I would have believed them :-D

Kinda missing the incredibly wonky production they always had, but this sounds awesome.

New song is neither great nor meh. It's okay for a comeback. I reserve my final judgment for a new full-length.

Tim has really aged wonderfully, he reminds me a lot of Mark Shelton's rougher range now. According to the Metal Blade site, it seems like they've already been writing stuff for their 5th album. Can't wait! So bummed I've never made it back home to Ventura to see them at Frost and Fire.

Great song! It helps that Baker is listenable for once.

I was shocked to hear Tim Baker sound almost the same as he did 30 years ago. He's just absolutely amazing, glad they're back making new material. I'm hoping for them to release a new album somewhere down the road.

I've been really liking the new song and I'm looking forward to the new album. I'm hoping for a heavier and more powerful sound on the upcoming album along with awesome artwork as always. I believe that Manilla Road had their time to shine again, a second chance so to speak, so now it's Cirith Ungol's time to shine again, with their comeback and such. The planets are aligned and the time is right...only question I have is Greg Lindstrom still in the band? Is he just doing the studio only and is Armand Anthony his live replacement or a permanent replacement? I hope not because Greg kicks ass and it's good to see as many original members as possible in the band along with fresh blood from Jarvis.
