It's strange, there is not an official statement from the band about this, and he is still listed as a member on their facebook.

However, according to this report on the main site, he is not longer in the band. The link they provided is below, and it is literally just a screenshot someone made of a conversation with Demolition Man in which they asked if he is still in the band, and he said no.

I found this all very strange... the whole basis for this band was that it was the return of the power-trio: Demolition Man, Abbadon and Mantas. But now he's all of the sudden not in the band anymore, and they don't even say anything about it? If that's the case, why don't they just go back to the other band they had together? I loved their debut, but with Abbadon not in the band anymore, and them being kinda shady about it, it just feels weird. Just curious as to whether or not anyone has some insight on this.

the three original members of Venom hate each other. it's hardly news. they try to work things out from time to time, and for whatever reasons, but they don't get along...

Not sure but Abaddon recently got married and has a newborn baby, so I guess he’s pretty much needed elsewhere.

Odd - they seemed happy enough at Bloodstock this weekend ! I wonder if they just got sick of the sight of each other over the day / weekend ?

Because he always leaves....

Demo man and Mantas needs to get away from the whole "Venom" thing and start their own band with real musicians and just forget about Venom.....

Yeah, it's strange that they're being so non-official about it all.

I remember when I saw them in 2016, they were fantastic. They just dominated the audience through pure rock star charisma and attitude.

I found an interview from back in April where they talked about him sitting out a tour. And the reason at the time was that he was having a baby:

Tony Dolan wrote:
But Abaddon was having a baby, and the baby’s due in March. His wife’s quite young with her first baby, of course, he’s all that, and he was panicking. They haven’t had any problems, but of course, it’s one of those things where you’re panicking a little bit. And so, he then thought, I guess he made the decision, that maybe he should be here for the baby. And, it’s due in March, so it was like, “Okay, is it going to be a day, is it going to be a week, or how do we do this?” And then he said, “I think it’s better if I take March totally, and then I can be there for the birth, and to help with anything else.” So, I’m like, “okay”. But we didn’t already push the tour into March it was like, “Ah fuck, now what do we do?”

So we at least know that's why he was sitting out of their touring cycle for a while, but it's unclear as to whether or not he has permanently left the band. Obviously at the time of this interview, he hadn't, but it's difficult to say where they stand with him now.

Was Abbadon playing with them then?

Hm.
Playing with them on September 2 in Toronto, so I guess we shall see.

This tour is a little weird actually.
