Just can't hold it anymore, i need to share this with the world.

What a great album this is. It just gets better and better every time I listen to it. Quickly rising on my all time favorite list and easily the best album I've heard in the last 20 years. I said on another thread I'd give it a 75% upon my first listening, forget that. This one gets 100% and counting.

What an amazing atmosphere, it really feels like you just woke up right in the middle of the most sadistic and endless torture, and the bodies just pile up as the music goes. Even the interlude is as frightening as it gets.

The whole album is relentless and unforgiving brutality from begin to end, with just an hint of melodic relief here and there, barely noticeable, almost like a dim light of hope that quickly fades and gives way into the utmost despair and agony.

Cannot remember ever being so hooked on an album, ever. With every listening I just keep imagining a new horror movie and there's just no happy endings here. Nothing but pure evil prevails in this masterpiece.

If, like me, you like the most brutal types of horror imaginable in both movies and music, then do yourself a favor and check this album if you haven't already:

The opening track, Against Flesh Against Blood, popped up in my subscriptions on YouTube about over a month ago, and I went and preordered the album on the strength of it.
Good stuff.

musically this is pretty cool, but good lord the production/tones are unreal. guitar tone sounds like being slammed with 20 million ton sledgehammer in the face. and the vocals are mixed perfectly. just this heinous bestial gurgle. good looking out on sharing this.

the guitar tone is the best part in my book, it's not unique but it's quite well done in this album

I already knew Portal but was never able to like their sound, after listening to this my guess is that is because Portal sounds more raw which kinda makes the guitars pack less of a punch, kinda like Autokrator 1st album as well

the vocals in Hammer of the Herectics are just pure evil perfection

This review from cvltnation really reflects my thoughts on the album.

Half way through the year and this is the one to beat in the AOTY contention.
