Have any users on this site heard of a band called Mac Sabbath? They are fast food themed Black Sabbath parody band.

Yeah, they've been doing their thing for some years now. I saw them a year ago and honestly they were hilarious. Their stage props and all the stupid shit they talk about/do during the show is just good ol' fun. And it's not like Cannibus Corpse where their song titles are really where the comparisons to the band(s) they're parodying end, composition-wise they still sound like the Black Sabbath originals, but with altered lyrics to involve fast food/being fat and lazy/the nastiness of the fast food industry.

Sounds akin to The Misfats.

Hopefully, they eventually release an actual, final album. So far, they're discography consists only of something called a "flexi disc" for their song "Pair-A-Buns" (a parody of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" as well the accompanying music video. There isn't even a lyrics video (besides the one that went viral in which Mac Sabbath performed their parody of "Iron Man" called "Frying Pan").

Never heard of them and i really don't want to. Parody bands are a waste of time and talent and they aren't even funny, imo of course. The only parody music i like is Weird Al. He's the OG of it all.

Some more parody bands that suck: Cannabis Corpse, Blackthrone, Steel Panther, Jute Gyte, etc.

It sounds like one of those ideas that was funny for a couple minutes when really stoned but then somebody just couldn't let it go. I guess the costumes are amusing to see on stage but what's the point of changing the lyrics if anybody can barely understand them live? I'll stick with Green Jelly for my go-to "I'm way too sober to be amused by this right now" band.

Saw them two years ago. I was really impressed at how accurately they were able to match the Sabbath guitar/bass tones.

Had never heard of these guys, a few Youtube videos later I am a fan. "Don't Open That Mayonnaise" is truly wonderful.

I just checked them out. They surprised me in that they actually look awesome and sound pretty good. Although self admittedly I listen to tons of shit music, so who knows.

Meh. I much prefer Brown Sabbath.

I was kinda disappointed when I first heard of them because I expected original songs like Cannibas Corpse. That said I'll be Damned if I don't want to see Grimace play guitar.

I saw them at Psycho Music Fest a couple of years ago and they were really fun.
