Is it normal to interpret guitar/keyboard notes as colorful patterns and drum work/percussion as a chaotic criss cross / semi regular when you look at it pattern while listening to music. |

Are you talking about looking at a wave graph generated by a program or about actually seeing sounds in your head? EDIT: Alternatively, are you talking about the midi piano program where people go crazy with soundless notes to make impossible remixes? |

I don't know about "normal" but it's not unheard of. Some music will evoke a "feeling" of certain colour for me, but I think true synesthesia is fairly rare. |
