It's Dutch for crib death so an infant dying whilst a sleep in their little bed. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) basically.

Well since the band is Flemish, the Dutch accent in the soundfile is not accurate. I noticed the band members are West Flemish, like me. So it would be pronounced Wii-huh-dwid. I did a quick recording that can be heard here: https://clyp.it/pd01fvp3 (audio clip expires in 24 hours I believe)

Plus the first link the spelling is wrong too but I am sure yours is more accurate man. So I hear from your sound clip 'Wee-he-doo-ed'... that more or less right?

Yeah, hardest to pronounce is the 'dood' part I guess. It's hard to type it out. There is a 'w' sound in there. That's why I'd say 'dwood' or 'dwid' (trying to imagine English vowels that come close here).

Actualy, it sounds almost like 'do it' but really fast like it's one word.

I’m a big fan of this band but since I’ve never had to vocalize their name I pronounced them in my head as “wedgie-dude.” Which I always thought was hilarious.

I'm going to pronounce it as Weinerdude because that's what my dyslexic brain read it as the first time.

"w" is pronounced as "v".

Wie (pronounced as the English "we") g ( the g is pronounced differently in the Netherlands/Flemish regions and I can't really describe it, but its not the "guh" like pronunciation like the word "girl") e (pronounced as "uh") dood ( pronounced as "dohd")
Cheers from the Netherlands.
