This is by far my most anticipated release for this year (all signs say it will be released before the end of 2018). I think these guys are the best death metal band currently active. With only two albums, it feels to me like they're already on their way to creating a legacy. Is anyone else looking forward to this as much as I am?

I'm hyped, yes. I dunno about best death metal around and their legacy and all that... but their two releases are superb. I don't see why this shouldn't be another great album. I would like to see them taking more risks with their song writing while keeping the atmosphere and crushing tone and riffage.

mother of god yes. I'm in full agreeance with "best death metal band around" tbh given they're a new band and both their albums so far have absolutely crushed. The sound on them is just huge. I'll be keeping an eye out for these, and hoping to see them live later in the year at some point hey.

Wait, what? Here in Australia?

I too will be keeping an eye out for this, Gateway to the Antisphere got/gets pretty heavy rotation from me. So damn good. Not too sure about "best death metal band ever" though.

They don't play live very much. If they came to Maryland Death Fest I would fly over there for sure from Utah.

Though I recall enjoying Gateways to the Antisphere I haven't spun it in a few years, so the only thing I strongly remember about it is the wicked cover art.

Wow, these dudes sound a lot better than I remember - I tried and failed to get into their prior albums. Cover art is cool, first half of the video was cool (then it repeated itself, which does not help because the song did the same thing). One wonders why the Ancient Ones would give a shit about Christianity in particular...

That was a pretty good one! Starts a bit slow, but when it gets going around the 2mins mark, it's excellent.

Ohhh nice one here. I love the slow intro and how it sort of builds up. In a live setting this song would be sick.

Early reviews have used that word, "monstrous," indeed! Can't wait (I'm gonna wait until the 21st to listen to it all. Less than one week now...)

This album is indeed pretty incredible. Like their previous albums, this one doesn't have a single weak track. The last song is a total masterpiece.

I find it a little odd that the album is being streamed by the label though on the Dark Descent website it reads "cds will not be shipped until 21/12 per the label's request". Why would the label not want physical copies going out until Friday?

Because the release date is December 21. You'll notice that the album isn't available for digital purchase anywhere either.

This record crushes. Well worth checking out. This, Evoken, Chapel of Disease, and Entropia are competing for albums of the year in my personal opinion.

loved this one! but I think I would have loved it more if they focused on their heavier vocals a bit more! Fantastic album for sure.

Interesting how this is seguing pretty seamlessly between brutal riff-and-drum combos and melodic stuff. Reminds me a bit of The Chasm in the epic songwriting style.

Easily my 2nd favorite album this year. I still like the new Varathron a tad more, but it comes damn close to being this year's best release for me. Really liking how they let the riffs and melodies breathe a bit more, and I enjoy the more dynamic production and mix a ton more than the shitty compressed wall-of-sound on their first two albums. Fantastic work!

Been playing their whole discography today. They're definitely up there with the better new bands. Serious riff chops, a real vision and style of their own and a sense for the epic songwriting-wise. They seem to have been pro-level basically from the start.

This new track sounds even more melodic than their earlier stuff. That's honestly perfectly fine with me, though - they've definitely got quite an ear for nice melodies and guitar leads, and it's still quite heavy and atmospheric stuff, so it works.
