Been getting more into slam death metal recently, I really like Devourment and Epicardiectomy in particular. But it would be cool to hear this style mixed with some more complex, maybe Deeds of Flesh style, technical brutal death metal. I guess Defeated Sanity kinda does this, but the slams aren't that integral to their sound.

So anyway, do people know of any bands like this, or more broadly, what do you think of the possibility of this combination of styles?

World End Man is the best I got. They don't slam a whole lot though.

Katalepsy perhaps? Particularly their Autopsychosis album. Not very familiar with their recent material.

I second the Katalepsy recommendation: their first EP is pure slam goodness, but they went a more straightforward brutal death route with subsequent releases. Their most recent is super good and very groovy. Highly recommend.

Analepsy is another name you should know. They're super good and mix in some brutal death elements along with the slam, especially on the most recent record.

I'd also recommend Organectomy for the same reason. Their album Domain of the Wretched was particularly nice.

New material isn't very good, don't worry

I feel like a lot of slam bands have an inherent technical tendency, but maybe not in the way you're looking for.

Katelepsy's Autopsychosis and Analepsy's new album Quiescence are pretty tech

I think Anal Stabwound would fit the bill

Btw the guy behind it is only 17 and he does it all by himself which is pretty admirable
