Is this the right topic to ask for help in remembering the name of the artist / song the way I describe a video? If so: I remember the name of the artist begin long (3 or 4 syllables) and something with "ae" in the name. I'm not sure if it started with Ae-, though. But the word looked a bit like Agathodaimon, Aetherea, stuff like that. I don't remember the name of the song. The video consisted of animated stills: still images computer animated with light and shadow to emulate movement / moving images. The hue was mostly dark blue and grey. The occasional flashing of light resembled lightning. The images showed a ragged person in a dark room that looked like a cell in an old asylum: white walls, high windows, a cold metal bed, the floor was wet. There wasn't much of a plot. Just a ragged figure (I remember him in a position of holding his hand in his hands occasionally) being dark and contemplative there in that asylumlike cell. The music, as I remember, was very athmospheric, with quite a lot of synths or reverb / delay effects, it wasn't extremely loud. I can't say it was black metal, but it had a very sorrowful feel to it, gothy but very emotional, not ice cold and full of hate. It was like 8 years ago that I saw the video on MTV (seriously) on some kind of hardrockcharts thingy that also had an occasional metal band in it. Does this ring a bell to anyone?
