So I've been reading some comments on Youtube about classifying this certain groups playing style and I could not get my head around it without it popping off. Anyways what is southern black metal? Is it like a mixture of southern style rock n roll? Or southern style blues rock mixed with black metal influences? Can someone explain this to me if it's such a genre and maybe a couple of bands that have this playing style. The band I was checking out was "Glorior Belli" their older stuff;maybe it has this sound in there later albums I just don't think it's worth my time because I didn't find too much enjoyment in what I heard.

I listened to your link and there is nothing there that I can relate to "southern" in that song. I suppose I would consider it southern black metal if Stevie Ray Vaughan and Duane Allman came back from the dead and wrote this.

The bulk of Glorior Belli's material isn't "southern" in the slightest, but they do have a couple of songs that could fit the southern black metal label, atleast in terms of atmosphere. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHdigB8BZ7A

Yea it's more so atmosphere and overall aesthetics past the album that the OP originally linked. Other than that it isn't like it's a scene or a genre by any means.

Ever since I listened to Sigh's In Somniphobia, I've been wondering what it would sound like if you combined blues with black metal.
