Hey there people, a simple question, which demands not so simple answers. Do you consider Black Doom metal a genre of it's own?

Well, i'm asking this because I saw RYM lacked this genre, which ended giving several strange genre tags to several releses, like, Bethlehem's 'Dark Metal' is tagged as Death Doom Metal (primary genre) and Black Metal, Depressive Black Metal, Funeral Doom Metal (secondary genres), which is completely dull.

So, I asked for the inclusion of the genre into their site (just as it's a recognized genre on the Encyclopaedia), but things are not going that well. People argue it's not a genre, just an amalgamation.
So, I decided I should consult you guys about the matter.

I'd like to ask you to take on account the credibility of Death Doom and several others hybrid genres.

So, what do you think?

Death/doom is just an amalgamation, surely?

It is a valid and understandable label for music. It isn't as common as death/doom, but death/doom and doom/death also refer to a relatively wide range of bands from Anathema to Asphyx to Novembers Doom to Winter. We have plenty of bands on the archives tagged with some sort of combination of black and doom metal. If that's not apparent then whoever is running the site is too stupid to metal.
