Haha I was also thinking this last night funny enough. I am certain Helloween's logo used to be, has it been updated recently? I think it is a nice touch to a bands page when the logos are 'animated' like this. Will be interesting to see how mwny turn up on this thread. |

Gif logos are a rare and special thing. They should be reserved only for truly exceptional and rare and special and important bands, bands like Blind Guardian and... Blind Guardian. This should be in the rules. |

Can't believe someone actually went and changed them.  I don't care if they're there or not, but I'm not sure how a static version of the GIF is really all that better.

The Blind Guardian one was a bit old anyway, I merely uploaded the current logo.  Kong had a GIF logo with a circle inside the O going round and round or something similar. Annoying. I also remember an even worse one for an Austrian death metal band, but I can't recall the name. Might have been replaced since then. Anyway, these instances are extremely rare and kind of a remnant from an older era, I suppose. Bottomline, we don't want animated pictures of any kind on the main site, that's pretty much it. Sure, they kill no kittens nor cause any observers to spontaneously combust, but personally, I think they are just corny at best and distracting at worst. |
