Malformed Earthborn - Embracing Pain

This industrial Napalm Death side project really isn't all that bad. It's got a very thick post-apocalyptic atmosphere and the 90's electro goofy shit is charming yet not out of place at all among the noise and sludgy guitar cacophony.

Hate Forest - The Wood Brothers

This song is really good. Definitely one of their best tracks.

Disciplin A Kitschme - Heavy Bass Blues

Fantastic drumming, bass guitar work, vocals, everything. Listen to this instead of Primus, kids! Not only is it drum and bass influenced music, but it literally only has drums and bass guitar as instruments!

Runemagick - Abyss of Desolation

Runemagick are slowly becoming one of my favorite bands - out of their first six albums, I'd give their worst album a solid 70% score or so. The fact that they've released plenty of albums in a very short amount of time makes them even more incredible. What a fucking band.

Anaal Nathrakh - More of Fire Than Blood

I fucking love Anaal Nathrakh but this isn't even their best song. The vocals are just too necro.

I can't tell you how much I've adored Savior and Lights Out since they first came out. Every release after that I've enjoyed less and less. I really wish Mick would make another dark trip-hop record.

Judicator - Spiritual Treason

This album is stellar, and Hansi's guest appearance on this song makes this one my favorite on the album.

Finally checking out the new Harakiri For The Sky album this morning. Just on the first track "Fire, Walk With Me", which DOESN'T have Twin Peaks themed lyrics, I've noticed.

Slayer - Repentless

There are some bangers on this record.

Anaal Nathrakh - We Will Fucking Kill You

Really good song. Although, The Whole of the Law isn't their best album.

Iced Earth- Watching Over Me
This is considered IEs worst ballad? Its inoffensive at best with a nice chorus. Unlike I Died For You.

Kalmah - The World of Rage

This album quickly went from "about just as good as Seventh Swamphony" to rivaling the first four albums. AOTY for me so far.

Insomnium - Song of the Storm

I got their Candlelight Years set that includes the first 4 albums. Figured I'd do the obvious thing and listen to them in chronological order.

Kreator - "Fatal Energy"

Highly-refined, energetic thrash from Kreator's late '80s heyday.

Fear Factory - "Echoes Of Innocence"

The intro to the song was eventually used for "A Therapy for Pain" but this songs morphs into its own monster totally different from the finished product that appeared on 'Demanufacture'.

(1991) Type O Negative - Slow, Deep And Hard (Roadrunner Records 2009 Remaster).
Fun!

Edit: (2013) Vàli - Skogslandskap.
Still prefer the first one.

Edit: (2018) Shining - X - Varg Utan Flock (Digipak).
Not bad.

I thought my Cannibal Corpse kick had me hard but I can not stop listening to Rush. I keep finding new things.

Napalm Death - Coded Smears & More Uncommon Slurs

I love that a Napalm Death "rare bonus track & offcut" collection still beats a lot of new modern grindcore. Legendary.

Autokrator - Inquisitio-Denunciatio-Exceptio

Holy Fucking Shit, Every time I listen this it just feels like I've woken up in the dark ages inside a dungeon where the most sadistic man in history performs the most unspeakable torture acts on some poor unfortunate souls while I just keep thinking "when will my time come?". Fucking love the album, just can't stop listening.

Winterfylleth - Elder Mother

This is actually my first exposure to this band, and I already love it. I'm very picky when it comes to this kind of neo-folk, but I can tell I'm going to be playing this quite a lot in the future.

Nuclear Death - Carrion for Worm

This album (and band) just continues to get better and better the more i listen to them. Fucking Brilliant band. That atmosphere is entirely unique.

Judas Priest - Hellrider, off Angel of Retribution

This is far from a brilliant record, and very phoned in a lot of the time, but I have a soft spot for some of the songs here, particularly this one. Just a really good, no nonsense, crushing slab of metal.

Suicidal Angels - "Lost Dignity"

Each song I hear from this band reminds me of Slayer riffs mish mashed into their own creation.

Meliah Rage- Masquerade.

So far easily MR's best post-Solitary Solitude effort, though that isn't saying a hell of a lot. The first four songs are quality mid-paced bangers; power-thrash with qualities of prog rock. After this though the album takes something of a nosedive from which it never recovers. The songs get way involved with themselves and overlong, comparable to a lot of Overkill's newer stuff. Not bad at all mind you, but annoyingly middling for a band that gave the world "Impaling Doom" and "Razor Ribbon".

Napalm Death - Lifeline [Sacrilege cover]

Ripping cover but can't quite match the vicious energy of the original. Nice to see ND pay homage to their roots with this one.
