Darkspace - Dark 3.12
I've decided to listen to the album that this song is on due to the reviewers high praise of this release. To be quite honest, I'm not really impressed at this moment. Maybe it'll get better later into the album.

Slayer - "213"
One of the outstanding tracks from 'Divine Intervention', an album that is arguably Slayer's last finest effort. This song works similar in framework to 'Dead Skin Mask', it has a slow to mid-tempo and continue the serial killer theme they were high on back then.

Death - Lack Of Comprehension
The art of brutality and technicality!

Pantera - "It Makes Then Disappear"
Moving at slow to mid-tempo this song trudges along while detaching your skin from your bones with its sharp riffs. Dimebag's guitar solo fits right in as it slithers its way around the rhythm.

NP: Summoning- Night Fell Behind
One of my favourite tracks from the new record (Which hasn't really stuck with me yet).

In Flames - "Dead God In Me"
In Flames when they were good from their best album. This is probably my most favorite track of theirs.

Visigoth - Salt City, off Conqueror's Oath

I'm digging this habit they're stablishing of throwing in a rockier, more NWOBHM flavoured track amongst all the epic warrior stuff. Should sound out of place, but it works very well.

Megadeth - "Sweating Bullets"

Absolutely the worst Megadeth song ever written. I would blame it to the laughable spoken word-style vocals that Mustaine employs here. While not a vocal prodigy, Mustaine usually chooses appropriate vocals that fits the music he creates. For this song though, the results are cringe-worthy.

Judas Priest - Saints In Hell

Falconer - Upon the Grave of Guilt

Thanks to Diamhea's thread I popped this on. This album made me an instant fan back in the day. Love these guys. Sadly, I never got to see them.

Johnny Winter - Boot Hill Pure rock and roll glory... just gusto, attitude and screaming heavy blues. The vocals are a whiskey-soaked holler and it's glorious.

Pagan Altar - Judgement Of The Dead Sadly overshadowed by Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Venom and Saxon. Pagan Altar and Witchfinder General really helped in kick starting the Doom Metal movement on the scale that Motorhead and Diamond Head did for Thrash.

Ramesses - Cult of Cyclops - Damn, now that's what i call crushing doom metal. Love the dirty black metallish vocals and Mark Greening's killer drum work. Hope he resurrects Ramesses in the near future now that he is out of With The Dead.

Falconer-Locust Swarm Man this is their heaviest album, not my favorite song personally(The Priory and Dawning of a Sombre Age are perfect) but still a kickass song.

Forest - Obscurity The album is terrific but Obscurity is exceptional. The atmosphere of this track is just beautiful and I absolutely love everything about this song.

W.A.S.P - Tormentor I ignored this album for a decade and a half because of the imagery, but there are some great songs on it. This is one of them.

Tiamat - Ancient Entity For years this fell under the ''it's not really bad, just not my thing'' category I always found a little odd since this sort of doom/death/atmospheric stuff is usually the kind of metal I love. Now somehow this just managed to click since a couple of days, surprisingly enough! Are you happy now, LegendMaker?

I don't take it seriously because I can't take it seriously. It has the same effect as "Crush 'Em", for which I believe even the Big Dave himself commented it was dumb... Spoiler: show ...even though I like that song as well. The whole of Risk can be enjoyable when it's not put against the rest of Megadeth's catalogue. At least in my opinion.

Fates Warning - Awaken The Guardian (1986 Dutch LP) Recently got a copy of the first pressing vinyl and have been playing it daily ever since. Probably my fave by this band.

Judas Priest - Saints In Hell "Beyond the Realms of Death" is great and all, but the real winners on Stained Class for me are the title track and then this absolute banger of a song. So good.

Kaledon - Clash of the Titans First listen to this record (Legend of the Forgotten Reign - Chapter IV: Twilight of the Gods), and it's getting the job done. Lots of high-speed power metal so far. This is the first track to really grab my attention, but perhaps with repeat listens, the rest will grow on me. They were never really a major touring band (nor all that good live).

Anaal Nathrakh- The Joystream While Desideratum isn't their most rock solid effort, and honestly the same can be said about every album after In the Constellation of the Black Widow, this one tics all the right boxes, while still following the traditional AN song structure. Impressive.
