Maybe I just believe Steve can't write anything bad.

I was expecting something different from Iron Maiden of course, but something that would remind me the influences of Steve Harris and what he might listen in his youth... but he gave us something that probably reminds what his daughter is listening.
Very bad album. "Us Against The World" shines alone in a desert of bad vocals and mediocre ideas.

I don't think the music's bad, it sounds like New Model Army's 1990s output, somewhat heavier though. What I didn't like much is the Bono sounding vocals.

Doesn't sound 1970s except for a few riffs.

N.M.A. is one of the best bands in the history of rock, and there's nothing like them in this mess. *Shudder*

Am I the only person that actually likes that song? It's a little cheesy and could've been edited, but it does make for a fun driving song from what I've experienced.

A second listen leads me to believe that this isn't too bad. The vocals are still questionable and the style is a little plain, but there are some good songs on here. I just might end up going for it if I find it cheap.

I like "The Angel and the Gambler." Sort of in spite of itself, actually...it's such a long, repetitive and badly done song, but the chorus is so catchy that I can't help it. I can enjoy it every now and then.

But if you like EVERYTHING Harris does...well, how about the second half of VXI, about every other song of The X Factor and mostly all of the two last albums with Bruce before he left and Blaze took over? Pretty fuckin' bad.

Hmm, it sounds like Grunge or Alternative Rock, not bad, but is sometimes, insipid. The vocals are very meh, it's the only bad thing i found, the rest is good, not precisely superb as i was expecting, but good, just and simply good.

Yikes, that album had me bored and uninterested. I was digging the first half a little, until it hit Chosen Ones. Damn shame, Harris can do better.

I wasn't expecting metal but I certainly wasn't expecting...this.

Really, Steve? All those '70s arena/prog rock influences you could have drawn on, and you write generic '90s hard rock?

Fuck this shit. It's got no energy, no charisma, no soul. They should've called it British Kitty-cat.

The song titles aren't that bad when stacked against other stuff we saw this year like "followed home, then killed" and most of the titles on the Sonata Arctica. Didn't like the last Maiden album, but it's Sreve Harris, it should be an automatic listen for fans of Heavy Metal.

hey Shitload Of Money is a great song title!

The bass production is indeed baffling. The vocalist is powerless and hoarse, and the songs remind me more of The Rasmus than anything enjoyable.
