Sick album cover... from a hellraiser comic

I didn't know it was from a hellraiser comic. I remember buying that from Relapse when they were having a dollar sale on all their 7ins back around 98 roughly.

Xenomorph's Empyreal Regimes is getting reissued on Dark Descent in October. Fuck yes.

Anyone remember if there is a similar thread to this one, but with focus on old school doom/death? All the bands from the 90's who followed My Dying Bride, Anathema, The Gathering and such playing atmospheric doom/death with keyboards, death grunts, female vocals etc.
I searched but didn't find any thread.

It was listed cause I remember the penis like cover art. I think it was in the early pages of the thread where someone linked a separate thread with a multitude of other old school death metal bands to check.

There are more bands sharing this name, this one is Crawlspace from Germany.
Really strong EP with expresive bass and great bloodthirsty vocals. Not an average bullshit!

- A totally overlooked little death metal gem, this time from Spain. Their only album.
Sounds more American I guess. It even has some melodic leads here and there.

Great shit, but isn't it more of a black metal album? It sounds awfully similar to old Impaled Nazarene, although more restrained and less over the place perhaps.

Don't have energy to look through the whole thread, but Morbus Chron has released one of the best death metal records of 2011 with "Sleepers in the Rift", it's worth checking out

This is a 100 points album. Mix of obscure Death Metal with Samael-like keyboards and atmosphere. Absolutely stunning.

To ShaolinLambKille and Helvede:
Since you guys dig doom/death, perhaps you will like this finnish gem from the arly 90's, death/doom with a heavy, heavy Sabbath influence. Reminds me of early Cathedral at times..

Yeah, I know this one allright. It has it's moments for sure. The occassional groove is a bit misplaced though, but definitely still a nice addition to any collection of obscurities.

Thanks for the recommendation Tezcat, I'm digging it aside from the southern fried riffing that all of a sudden comes into play. That I don't dig as much.

Uruguayan Death Metal of fucking fine caliber.

Nice and heavy Celtic Frost touch/influence, but with South American twists (ala Uruguayan, naturally). Interpret this as something done with a lot of great mean spirit.
