Got the word that they've been demoing some new material. The Saint at arguably their most straightforward with a couple of songs on here dating back to being written before Symbol of Salvation, so it truly does feel like an album that encompasses both eras of their career.

Well I listened to "Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius" all the way through today for the first time, and I gotta be honest.... I'm a little disappointed I guess. The catchy, melodic, downright epic and climactic moments of "Denouncement" are nowhere to be found. That's what floored me about the first album. It was the reason I found them to be so unique and instantly fell in love. "Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius" is certainly good, but it sounds more like Portal. This time around they seem to have a heavier focus on being dissonant and cavernous. Where as "Denouncement" really separated them above those types of bands by switching seamlessly between the swarm of bees guitars to clean and intelligible riffs ranging from heavy to eerily beautiful. But I havent given up on it yet... I hope it's a grower
