Lol, so this thread of mine has been locked; viewtopic.php?f=1&t=100555

I would really like to know the band/album/song-title or anything else of few songs I have in MP3s. How could I do that?

Please anyone, could you tell me which band and album this below piece of song is from? Thanks in advance. Couple of songs from this band/album was with me for sometime, which I had been neglecting until now, and which has a collection of some real crunchy riffs and flow.

The intro riff from Death's song "Evil Dead' was originally a tribute from practically the same riff from ANOTHER song from a heavy metal band in the early 80's. I want to say they're from Sweden but don't take my word for it. I've been stumbling over this for months and can't remember the name of the band, and more importantly the song. :???: Hope someone can help!

I recorded songs off a Finnish metal radio show as a teenager and didn't always catch the host telling what it was. So here are the ones I want to find. Thank you for your patience!

NOTE: All the clips were recorded between 2001 and 2002.

Unknown song # 0 http://db.tt/HPNpvyao The band's name is supposed to begin with the letter D, if I'm not mistaken. [SOLVED]

Unknown song # 1 http://db.tt/MrTjLsRI

Unknown song # 2 http://db.tt/L5RbOkAg This one sounds kind of Swedish to my ears...? [SOLVED]

Unknown song # 3 http://db.tt/5A7xR7Rh

Unknown song # 4 http://db.tt/JFM8L3Zt I remember the host saying this is a Norwegian band. Not sure. Sounds a bit like Aborym, but that's Italy.

Unknown song # 5 http://db.tt/GdReY8jU There are two separate clips of the same song in this mp3. Notice how the first riff sounds like it's stolen from Death ("Together as One")? [SOLVED]

Unknown song # 6 http://db.tt/am7cavq1 This could be a Finnish demo. But that's only a guess.

Unknown song # 7 http://db.tt/qUPKZZUo Same comment as above. The mp3 includes two parts of the same song.

Unknown song # 8 http://db.tt/t2i5WGtx This one includes part of the intro and some of the chorus. [SOLVED]

Unknown song # 9 http://db.tt/nOPlqLzO [SOLVED]

Unknown song # 10 http://db.tt/6qgVvwY8 [SOLVED]

EDIT: I somehow forgot the most important one, so now it's # 0. That's masterfully inarticulate vocal delivery right there, so I can't type any lyrics in the advanced search, except for that part which sounds like he's saying "status quo".

#2 is definitely Soilwork's "Black Star Deceiver." I feel like I should know much more than this, but after a first pass over all those clips, that's the only one I could identify immediately. Apparently I suck at death metal "name that tune."

Thank you!

The best way to find songs is typing some lyrics in the advanced search, but these ones are too much for me. Especially #9. Cool vocals, yes, but I can't even decipher if it's English or not.

NVM Found it!

It was Diablo Swing Orchestra - Bedlam Sticks

Tip for others...when trying to find stuff by searching a radio station's online website, try multiple browsers! Some don't like Firefox/IE vice-versa.

This isn't metal, but I know there's a lot of ambient/dark-ambient fans amongst you that may be able to help. Can anyone identify the piece of ambient music running in the background of this BBC4 documentary (Britain's Holiest Places: Pagans and Pilgrims), from about 9:20 to 10:00. It featured a lot in this series, but I also heard it last week in another documentary on More4 called "A Very British Witchcraft", which leads me to think it may well be a published piece of music rather than something composed for the programme. It's a delicate but haunting piece with a simple melody, and a soft dissonant bell-like note repeated every bar. It could be from the realm of dark ambient, or possibly the softer side of electronica/IDM (hate that term).

I've finally found it,it's "Eversince (Metal Version)".I already knew that was a track of the Detemination Tour DVD,but I looked for it in the studio stuff searching among the songs in the tracklist of the DVD and I didn't find it,so I thought that maybe it was a cover or something like that which for some reason didn't appear in the tracklist.I don't know why I didn't find it when I first look for it,sorry for doing such a stupid request like this.

Most likely someone covering KISS "War machine". So check Six Feet Under and Amon Amarth version. Somehow I remembered that Entombed covered that too but seems like I'm wrong cause didnt find it.

I watch Regular Show sometime ago & in one episode, (The one with the giant bearded face) I heard two songs used for montages, both where very, very familiar. The first one sounds like Rap Rock, & the other sounds like Hard Rock. These songs sounded very familiar, but I have no idea what they are called, whom performed them, what album they're from, or what decayed they where created.

Hey hi guys! This is my first time posting here although I've been lurking quite often for recommendations.
Presently I've been trying to find all the bands that I had on cassette from when I was a teenager. This is one of them:

Would be great if anyone could tell me what it is.

Thanks in advance!

Where was the radio show broadcast out of? What other stuff did it play? We can narrow it down if we can determine: was it pro releases only, or did they play demo tapes? What labels did they get stuff from/what was distributed there.

Please someone help me on this?

I had the MP3 file of this song lying on my computer at the time I was growing up as a metalhead. I really liked the song back then. Just stumbled upon it and I still don't know which band it is. Perhaps I'm not into this kind of sound anymore, but I'd like to know which band's song it is. Here's the link to the song I've uploaded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZHHVt5MbSI

Thank you in advance!
