Corpsessed - The Dagger And The Chalice

Some truly devastatingly atmospheric and crushing Finnish death metal here. Completely leveling stuff, with those monstrous vocals covering everything in a layer of blackened filth.

I like that Corpsessed EP. I'm looking forward to a full-length in time.

Strapping Young Lad - City

Really cool album! I don't like the cover song, though, and that disrupts the flow to the last track, which is epic. Alien is still better, I think, but this one holds its own in Strapping Young Lad's not-so-extensive but varied discography.

This is monstrous.

That album is killer. It's definitely a mood album so it won't do much for me when I'm not really into that stuff, but when I am nothing sounds better. One dark piece of intense atmosphere.

NP: Void Meditatio Cult - Consecrated by Sacrifice

I want a full length album of this!

Yeah, me too.

Taran - Praetorians of Black God

Rather good and vicious black metal, with some killer hooks, although it does remind me a little of latter day Marduk. This isn't really a problem though thankfully, due to the wickedly abrasive nature of this.

I'm actually taking the time to listen to full Black Sabbath albums at the moment - turns out I've been missing out a lot!

Alchemist - Lunasphere

Even better than Jar Of Kingdom. They were getting better at blending genres seamlessly.

In other words, fuckin' awesome.

Ataraxy - Revelations of the Ethereal

This is so good that I feel the need to whore it out for a bit. Everyone with a taste for Finnish death metal should seriously consider buying this blindly! :nods:

Wuthering Heights - Battle of the Seasons

Their early career is a bit of an enigma. There will be bitchin' awesome songs/segments, and then there will be shit. Completely and totally inconsistent. And then Salt happened and all was right with the world.

Hey good shit man, i picked up sabbath bloody sabbath on LP yesterday, so i've been spinning it too. The main riff of the title track is just awesome.

NP Blut Aus Nord - Disciples Libration.

This is just an amazing song, lots of emotions at play here. There's something quite beautiful and uplifting about the whole thing.

Aborted - Источник Болезни (The Origin of Disease)

I can't get enough of this song, it's my favorite track off the album.

Also, what's the language used in the title?

Here's some of the shit I've been listening to yesterday and today.

Animosity - Empires
Haken - Visions
Between the Buried and Me - The Parallax II: Future Sequence
Dark Angel - Time Does Not Heal
The Last Successor - s/t
[The] Slowest Runner [in all the World] - We, Burning Giraffes
Mutyumu - Ilya
Hibria - Defying the Rules
Melt-Banana - Cell-Scape
Mitochondrion - Parasignosis

As you can see, it's been a pretty strange bunch of albums.

Paragon - To Hell and Back Again (Saxon cover)

Ah man this is nostalgic. This kind of thing was pretty much my initiation to metal...Germanic steel with big anthemic shoutalong choruses. Fun times.
