I have no idea why I skipped Hope and Horror... I guess totally just slipped past me. I just picked it up to correct that situation

you'll be glad you did man, you should play hope and horror then providence back to back, i've been doing that, damn eps.
where'd you buy it from?

ebay. I didn't have a problem paying 11 bucks to guarantee a copy and it has a live show with it... very awesome. esp since I haven't seen Immolation live ever.

And I know I'll be happy I have everything else. Which is why i was surprised I didn't have this.

Has anyone heard any news about this album? Haven't seen any updates for a while now. Was hoping for a March release, as I recall very early reports indicating.

Isn't the new album always the band's darkest/heaviest/most brutal yet? Still, if it's genuinely taking a darker direction, I won't mind.

Well they're doing a big US tour with Cannibal and Napalm Death in May and common sense would think it might be out before then. Let us hope

I think it was around this time or a little before when Cannibal Corpse announced the details for Torture, and that was roughly 2 months.

January 8th last year. I have no explanation for why I remember that. So you're right, we still might get it soon. It's just weird that there's been absolutely no word since August

Release date coming just a few days into the Decibel tour, which is thankfully coming around my area of the Rust Belt.

The quality of material among the top 3 bands on the bill is strikingly consistent if you're a fan of any one of them, and even more welcome if you are of all of them. Each sits in that nook of "more of the same, please" for me, and yet I'd say both CC and Napalm Death each stepped it up considerably with their latest albums and that seems to be the general consensus as well. Frighteningly optimistic to think what new Immolation could bring if they continue that path for themselves. Majesty and Decay took a little bit longer to hit me in its entirety than usual and probably because of the unusually clean production, but it paid off in dividends once it did. Providence achieved that effect much quicker, and not just because of its obviously shorter runtime. A full-length of that kind of songwriting would be staggering and how about that title, Kingdom of Conspiracy? With the recent coincidental announcement of the pope's retirement and the motivation behind it becoming more clearer each day, this could be something very noteworthy in Immolation's catalog.

Eh, I suppose that's shitty phrasing. I meant halfway through May, that being halfway towards June.

I agree with your general point in any case, although I suppose that releasing it in the first half of the year could count as "early 2013."

In any case, it'll be out just in time for the tour with Cannibal Corpse/Napalm Death. Looking forward to both the new album and seeing them live on such a killer bill.
