I've been actually very curious about this reissue for a long time. Could you take some more snapshots of it, inside and out?

It is a very simple layout with no liner booklet or anything. I will upload some pics of it later when I get back home though.

Been on a bit of a non-shit metalcore kick lately.

Barrit - Smiles Upon The Stroke That Murders Me (been after this cd for ages, great melodramatic stuff)
Deadguy - Fixation on a Coworker (I already had this but lost it, classic album)
Kiss It Goodbye - She Loves Me, She Loves me not... (prefer the Choke ep but still awesome stuff)
Candiria - Beyond Reasonable Doubt (not my favourite of theirs but still good and weird album)
Dragbody - Flip The Kill Switch (nasty and noisy Florida metalcore, blind purchase and really liking)
Gothic - Deathcography (French semi-brutal dm, bit hit or miss)

That's actually what I was afraid of, a barebones reissue... Thanks for taking the effort mate, and do post those pics when you find the time to. ;)

PS: That Faust album is actually much better than what the cover art might indicate.

Yea I had always been been meaning to pick up a copy but I hate that artwork so much that it keeps sliding to the backburner in picking it up. I've heard some tunes on youtube... but damn colored pencil titties make it just a little shittier overall.

The art was actually what caught my eye at first because it was to make up for a kroda album the distributor no longer had, but I was very impressed by it.

I've got a question for those of you that purchase vinyls, CDs, and cassettes all together: do you just look for albums and grab them in whatever format you find it in, or are there albums that you'd prefer to have in specific formats (like, you want -insert album here- only in vinyl/cassette/etc.)?

Collectors usually go for heavy gram vinyl with all sorts of color mixes. I personally just take whatever, but vinyl is nice if its under $20, and cassettes if under $7.

I prefer vinyl. And if possible originals. But that's just because of the ritual of putting a LP on the turntable etc. And with for example the Carcass - Surgical steel record. The vinyl version has its own mastering. And I think it really does sound better than the cd.

This is a total classic! I must admit that I don't have it yet but definitely a necessity in the collection of every self-respecting potential church burner.

Septic Flesh original pressings, congratulations. How much did you get them for?

I got insanely lucky and got an original press of Esoptron from a second-hand shop for just over ten dollars, but I'm fine with getting the reissues for the others.

20 euros for Ophidian Wheel and Fallen Temple, 40 for Esoptron and 50 for Mystic Places. I'll have to take it easy with my spending for a couple of months, but I'll be damned if I had to get those shitty reissues!
Just over ten bucks is pretty insane. You were lucky to come across a deal like that!
The Necromantia CD and the Varathron split are also original pressings, as is the 1993 greek rock album in the bottom right.

Felt like wantonly spending money today:

METAL:

Deicide-In The Minds Of Evil
Kataklysm-Waiting For The End To Come
Ihsahn-Das Seelenbrechen
Profanatica-Thy Kingdom Cum
Seidr-For Winter Fire
Panopticon-La Passione Di Sacco & Vanzetti (from the Split W/Lake Of Blood)
Panopticon-It's Later Than You Think (aka Split W/Wheels Within Wheels I)
Panopticon-...On The Subject Of Mortality
Panopticon-Split W/Wheels Within Wheels II
Panopticon-Split W/Vestiges

NON-METAL:

Anathema-Universal

The Panopticon stuff is all via Lunn's Bandcamp page and were dirt cheap-$13 total for 5 releases, 15 songs, 131 minutes of music (almost like getting 2 full lengths or one double album). By the nature of that delivery, all of the spilts are the Panopticon sides only. "La Passione" is curious, as it is only one song of two from the Lake Of Blood split-the other song, "Haunted America", is nowhere to be found.

The only one I've listened too thus far is the Anathema live album, and I have to say I wish they were this good when I saw them nearly three months ago (it was a disappointingly mediocre show).

I'll post some pictures when they all arrive.

 You should come back to #metal and we'll worship them together! Don't forget to get Harbriner of Metal if it's not already done!

Finally they all got here the other day. Took forever due to a particular Amazon seller taking forever to ship his. -_- Anyway here they are in all their glory, feast your eyes Tony:

The In the Rectory is the gold vinyl press. All are superb here. Reverend Bizarre is the best doom band of the last 20 years, no shit. Main reason? Albert Witchfinder's singing. Best Trad doom singer ever and second best doom singer ever (only behind Peter Steele). It goes without saying that I agree with your review of III: So Long Suckers, Tony. An album not for the faint of heart, as some of the less than flattering reviews for it will show. A long song matters not if the song is good. A long song will feel short if it's good, length is only a number, and for the case of III: So Long Suckers, the riffs, lyrics and vocals are as good as any will find by the Rev, which means they are as good as any will find in doom. They are so good that hearing them for 15 minutes (or 30 minutes) isn't even enough....I will play them all over again immediately after.

Additional purchases since the Reverend Bizarre material:

Gallhammer - Gloomy Lights, Interesting band, not bad from what I've heard so far.
Noothgrush / Coffins - Noothgrush / Coffins, Split LP, both will be at MDF.
Pagan Altar - Mythical & Magical, Double LP gold vinyl. Wonderful packaging.
Pentagram - Pentagram (Relentless), Probably my favorite trad. doom album. Comes with a poster.
YOB - The Great Cessation, Probably my favorite of the YOB albums I've heard.

Plus, I got a few things for my bb, which I will not utter here. I am keeping them secret and keeping them safe until the time comes to unveil them. =)) <3 :*
