That's one of the weirdest albums I've ever heard.

Hahah that's exactly what I'm counting on. I love the really quirky heavy metal bands from the 80s...I just hope they're weird with killer riffs.

Blut Aus Nord - 777 Cosmosophy
Kamelot - Silverthorn (Limited edition)

Despite the tepid reviews, I heard the new BAN on Youtube to see for myself and ended up really liking it enough to buy it. As for the new Kamelot, I'm impressed by the limited edition: a hardbox with the regular album, a bonus disc (with the instrumental version of the album, and a new bonus track), a hardbound book that details the story behind the concept, and a poster. It might be simple things, but I'm a sucker for feelies. Shame I can't find that thing that connects my phone to my PC for photo purposes, but it's good.

Incidentally, that's the second album I've bought in as many weeks that has a full short story in the packaging, the other being Pig Destroyer - Book Burner.

I definitely recommend checking them out! Raw finnish black metal. Very nice purchases! I haven't bought that Nokturnal Mortum live recording myself because I'm waiting for the vinyl version.

I ordered a bunch of music from Pestilence Records, they had huge discounts for semi-large orders. The sixth album I ordered actually made the order cheaper than it would've been with only five CDs.

Drawn And Quartered - Hail Infernal Darkness
Elimi - Summoned From Ashes
Valoton - Beastificate
Teloch - Morbid Prayer
Malus - Creation of Death
Christicide - Christicide

Back from my record store used cd binge and spent less than I expected:

Anaal Nathrakh - Hell Is Empty, and All the Devils are Here (I think this completes their full length discography, except for Vanitas which I'll need to pick-up.)
Anathema - Serenades, The Silent Enigma (I've been meaning to look further into this band, I really enjoy the few releases that I own.)
Blut Aus Nord - 777 Sect(s) (Another band I've been wanting to check out, 1st album I'll be checking out.)
Jerry Cantrell - Boggy Depot, Degradation Trip (Been an AIC fan for years, heard good things about the solo stuff. Unfortunately, the Degradation Trip is the 1 disc version.)
Mercyful Fate - The Beginning (Can't go wrong with this band, and since I don't have the Nuns Have No Fun ep, this was a good grab.)
Nile - In the Beginning (1st early Fate, followed by early Nile, why not?)
Temnozor - Sorcery of Fragments (I only own Folkstorm and had no idea what this was, hopefully worth grabbing.)
Xasthur - Nocturnal Poisoning (After watching the 1 man black metal documentary, I became curious about this band. Probably have to check out Striborg eventually too since I'm already into Leviathan.)

Other non-metal albums:
At the Drive-In - In/Casino/Out, El Gran Orgo (The Mars Volta fan, wanted to hear some pre-Volta material.)
The Mars Volta - Tremulant EP (I only had a downloaded copy of this, now I have a physical one.)
Temple of the Dog - S/T (I remember this from years ago on cassette, had the urge to hear it again.)
Zombi - Surface to Air (Instrumental electronic ambient music that could have been used in a 70's zombie film. Reminds me of the atmosphere in Dawn of the Dead.)

Also got a few dvds: Almost Famous, Commando, Dog Soldiers and High Fidelity. I was really looking for some good horror, but feels like I have just about everything now. Anyways, enough from me, it's time to start listening to this stack of cds.

I have both the double cd version and the dvd now, and waiting on the vinyl to be out! Hope it will be soon.

What kind of music is that Rebirth cassette box? It looks cool, but I can't find any info on it.

Two more on cd format:

Neurosis-Honor Found In Decay
Biohazard-Reborn In Defiance

The Biohazard is a South American "licensing" (EDIT: on 2M Productions/Prisa) that to me comes across as somewhat questionable, but I've had such a bitch finding this record at a decent price that I just said "fuck it". I didn't know this would be the case at the time of ordering, but the quality is pretty damn good for $8 US, so I ain't complaining-I'm happy to finally have my hands on this.
