The band was formed by the two Onur's in 2006 as a black metal band. In 2006/2007 they recorded their first album "You Must Come With Us." Zifir have started working for second album on February 2008 and with the addition of Nursuz on drums (the first album just had a drum-machine).

"Zifir" means very dark, darkest or pitch black in Turkish.
