Valhalla began as a school covers band called Snowblind who played songs from bands such as Motörhead and Black Sabbath before changing their name to Armageddon in 1980 to start writing material of their own. They released a self-titled EP on their own in 1985 and in November that year the band relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, but soon folded for various reasons.
