"Trimontium" ("Тримонциум" in Bulgarian) is the Roman name for the city of Plovdiv. Its meaning in Latin is "The Three Hills", called such due to it having been located on three syenite hills (currently 6, with a 7th one destroyed in the 20th century for construction material).
