In 1991 Tren Loco won the second place on the Yamaha Band Explosion contest, which took place in Japan, and were signed by Polygram.
The band have opened for acts such as Hermética, Almafuerte, Saxon (1992), Skid Row (1996) and Judas Priest (2001).
