Trance changed their name to Trancemission in 1989 for legal reasons. They changed back to Trance before dissolving in 1998. In the early 2000's Trancemission formed but was not actually considered a name change from the original band but rather a new band featuring some of the members of Trance.

Not to be confused with Transmission.
