The Cycle (the CYCLE) was originally formed in 2005 under the name Elleguns, by Panther, Samurai W. Kenjilaw and Speed Star Sypan Joe after they left Sex Machineguns.
Under the moniker Elleguns (エレガンス), they released an instrumental EP, Keep Out, on 12/10/2005.

In 2006, they changed name to The Cycle, and released the first full-length, with Tsuyoshi Himura as a session vocalist.
