"Tchornobog" (or Чорнобог) is Ukrainian for "black god". Tchornobog, also spelled as "Chernobog" (among other variants), was a deity in Slavic mythology. Not much is definitively known about the characteristics of Tchornobog, but it was speculated by some early Christian sources that he was a god of evil.
